I think we have our recent history and Heacock in our favor.
Heacock is one of the best "D"line coaches in football. And is doing a marvelous job.
ND just has the excitement of a new coaching staff and media hype. The commitment of Clausen will further spur this years recruiting class. That will make it tougher for us with some recruits.
I think it's an uphill battle for us.

If we could get to the NC game it could be huge for recruiting this year.

tOSU had great depth...then lost 2 DE's to the same injury last winter and there is no guarantee how they will rebound.

By the time Martin gets to tOSU, Barrow, Williams, Wilson, Worthington, Gholston, Dublin, and Rose will be the DEs. Rose may end up inside, Gholston is versatile like DScott, Dublin is a wildcard, Barrow has been inconsistent...Wilson is your only "guarantee" at the position.
