La Salle coach Tom Grippa says he believes ND is a slight favorite over tOSU. He attributes this to Ben's good friend attending ND. Martin has visited both schools in the past two weeks.

There's just as much, if not more, tradition and atmosphere at Ohio State. I figure there will be some waffling back and forth between favorites. Lets hope Ben opts for the bucks.

I think that is key to remember before anybody gets to discouraged. When a recruitment like this is so close, there will be some going back and forth. Not to mention Ben just had a visit to ND and is probably still on a visit buzz-type deal. Best to just sit back and trust JT to win out in the end.

That opinion seems to keep popping up on the various sites...is it still "ignorant" to say this kid will be playing on sundays in a few years?

He ended up at Akron due to academics, not a lack of talent.

I don't remember that...I remember DL saying Hight was the best in Ohio, but not the best he has ever seen.

I promise not to get off the subject of Ben again but what Duane said after Hight's junior year was Hight had academic problems but definitely had NFL talent. Antwan by his own admission is lazy, Hight's stock fell like a rock his senior year.

Ben by contrast is a very well focused young man, I really hope he picks tOSU

Ben says he does not have a favorite and is not leaning to anyone. He has put recruiting on hold while his Grandmother is sick. He plans on deciding during or after his senior season.

there are a chosen few that regularly help put me in my place gracefully during a debate (grad, coachbt on GBW, etc). I appreciate his input, but imo Duane is not one of those (I believe he wants to see Terwilliger line up at DE).

It may still prove ignorant to have said he will be playing on sundays in 'three years' :p
