'07 FL ATH LaTravis Washington (Nebraska Verbal)

My two cents, I was very impressed. IMO a better looking prospect than Troy Smith back in the day. Did Hentons film from last year look that good?

Early in the film he showed he was very hard to bring down when he did run. I would guess when he matures and puts on some weight he'll be a load. Unlike the our depth chart at OL or DT we are steeped in quality QB's for a refreshing change.

From the Nebraska site...Latravis has Nebraska ahead but will take all his visits before making a committment. He says most schools are recruiting him as a safety. He seems to be favoring Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan State and Auburn.

He also plays quarterback but I think he has more upside on defense. His size/speed combo is very impressive and he's a big time hitter.

I seem to remember an opposing player last year that also had an impressive size/speed combo and who played QB...

I read somewhere that Fabian Washington, who played for Nebraska, is his cousin, or close friend, or something. But he said that he would play either safety or QB, but preferred QB, where we are supposedly recruiting him. I don't know what Nebraska is recruiting him to play, but if it's at safety like most places are, that should definitely help.
