'07 AZ OL Kris O'Dowd (Southern Cal Signee)

Thats great news if true about being the #1 or #2 OL prospect in the entire country. I havent seen a more impressive offer list for an offensive linemen in the entire country.

And, Scout.com misstated to Kristofer about his rating (i.e., I previously stated he would be ranked as the #1 or #2 OL) ... Scout.com appears to have meant either #1 or #2 overall in the State of Arizona or at Guard, but not OL. Anyway, my prior post was incorrect ... Scout.com has rated Kristofer a Five Star, #7 lineman in the nation. All of the guys ahead of him are tackles except Tray Allen who is the #2 lineman in the country. Same build, but athletically Allen doesn't compare to Kristofer (at least based on the Scout.com stats on each player from the combines), but hey I've never seen Allen play and I'm obviously biased.

Rivals.com isn't going to give Kristofer 5 stars without films on him, but he is apparently ranked at a "6.0" which is as high as you can get as a four star without being a five star ... I think Connor Smith ended up with five stars on Scout.com website and four stars on Rivals.com.

Is there any chance of Mr. O'Dowd coming to the senior camp at the end of June? To me, it's really too much to ask of a recruit that has already been offered to come to camp on his own dime across the nation. But, it seems the coaches need to believe he is really interested in OSU for them to decide to pursue him hard.

man, the more i look at his offer list, and i notice that we are the only distant school he shows interest in, it tells me that this guy wants to want to be a buckeye, but it takes A LOT for anyone to make that big of a move. I hope the staff really gets after him, but more importantly i want him to make the right choice for himself, in regards to football you can't beat ohio state and the academics are becoming a little crazy lately, but there is so much more to such a huge decission

Rivals is reporting O'Dowd will take an unofficial visit to Ohio State.

clipped from the fron page headline:
In late May Tucson (Az.) Salpointe Catholic offensive lineman Kris O'Dowd revealed to BuckeyeSports.com that he was in the process of selecting five schools for official visits and Ohio State would definitely be one of the five. O'Dowd now reveals that he has selected two other schools for his trips. He also says he called Jim Tressel earlier this week and is in the process of setting up a summer unofficial visit to Ohio State.

BSB - Bill Kurelic - 06/07/06

Kris will probably visit June 22-24 ( i.e., for the one-day senior advanced camp).

Kris will definitely take official visits to Ohio State, USC, and UCLA.

His top six, in no particular order, are Southern Cal, Ohio State, UCLA, Arizona, Boston College, and Miami.
