From what I hear that would make quite a difference. A personal touch would go a long way I am sure.strohs said:If tOSU gets serious about recruiting Tilly, I am sure an in-home with Coach JT can change her mind on that.
But it sounds as though we need to get into the game sooner than later.
Thats False, They are taking calls from all schools, offers or not. They jsut want to hear what each one has to offer. I am sure his Mother would like to ask JT or any coach for that matter about the Off the field issues.wadc45 said:From what I understand, not even a visit from JT can help the Bucks at this point. The Tilley camp isn't even taking phone calls from the OSU staff at this point. I think we are probably going to focus on 1) Connor Smith 2) Aaron Brown and 3) a major OOS recruit, like a J.B. Walton....
I doubt that Browning gets an offer, as at 6'3", 330, he doesn't fit the OSU "profile" for an OL; very similar build to Ronnie Wilson....Aaron Brown, Connor Smith, Bryant Browning and Ryan Palmer are all fine with me.
That was the thought I had in mind.LordJeffBuck said:Forget about Tilley - he's the Incarnato of this year's class.
not disputing your comments at all, as I am sure you are closer to the situation than I am...I was merely reporting what I had been informed about the status of Lee's recruiting with OSU. I was lead to believe that things were at a total impasse, as it appears that Lee does not appear to have any intentions of camping at OSU without an offer, and the staff does not seem to want to invest the time in Lee to cultivate his interest in OSU.EXBEARCAT said:Thats False, They are taking calls from all schools, offers or not. But, it looks like he will be headed south, or at least far away from the Big Ten....so we'll wish him luck, success, and move on. Much better scenario than watching him matriculate up north or to Wisconsin or something.MililaniBuckeye said:It's a shame that we may miss out on a kid who's one of the top 3-4 OL in the state.
Lee has 36 total offers and has narrowed his list to twelve schools....Georgia, Auburn, Arizona State, Florida, Oklahoma, Cincy, LSU, NC State, Clemson, Washington, South Carolina and Virginia Tech. The article addressed why Ohio State has not offered and Tilley said that OSU showed early interest but was not invited to any Junior Days, thus he moved on thinking they were not interested. He has no bad feelings, he is happy with his offers. His mother commented that she was concerned with the off the field problems at OSU and basically said she would not even let Lee consider the Buckeyes at this point in part because of the problems recently in the program. His high school coach feels that OSU did not evaluate Lee properly and thought they could hold off on offering until later in the process.<TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=0 width="98%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD colSpan=3>TILLEY CUTS DOWN HIS LIST TO 12
