'06 MN DT Walker Ashley (Minny...no, maybe USC......no, PSU...no, Minnesota commit)

The only thing about him is whoever has his last visit could win the way he has been changing.
Agreed 100%
After we lost those 3 games, he dropped us wayyyy back.
Now all of a sudden we are in the lead again?
He goes down to the last minute on this decision.
I have a feeling with him, nothing will be over till he signs.

Yes our d-line would be sick, but don't foget about Ryan Williams, as he will be a stud also.
good point his name slipped my mind, i feel good about this because we were his original leader and of his last three visits i only could really see him going to OU but he hasn't mentioned their name that much..

Since I'm too lazy to go back and look....... Hasn't Walker already visited USC? If he doesn't have to go out there again, I really like our chances. I too will be waiting to hear what WStripes has to say, but you've gotta like our chances more than they were before.

EDIT: Yes, he visited USC on 10/23. That's obviously good for us. His only remaining visits are Minny 12/10 and then OU on 12/17.

What I like about our situation is the fact his father played in the NFL. This family knows what the hells going on as far as recruiting, college life, and the possibilties of the NFL. His dad knows what it takes and has been down the road before. If it was a regular recruit I would be skeptical but with his families background and us being a clear favorite at this point is definately a good thing.

The official visit is so much more important than the in-home visit. Beside the Wilson update, the update on Ashley was the most pleasantly surprising out of everything I have read so far this morning.

All of this should be tempered with the following - having OSU as #1 immediately after the visit in NOT a sufficient condition for the commit, but it is almost always a necessary one. I think sometimes this gets confused.

Agreed...but you also have to be concerned that the last two visits this kid has been on, USC and tOSU, he has left claiming that school as his #1. That is why being the last school to be visited is a luxury. In that case, advantage Oklahoma with Ashley.
