Is A.J. Wallace an Ohio State lean?
When I spoke with Wallace this week, he seemed to be leaning away from NU and towards Ohio State and Penn State. It’s my opinion that Ohio State leads. Why, you ask?
I can tell Wallace is a bit more excited about the possibilities at Ohio State. When he talks about the visit there, he talks about the players by first name. For example, he mentioned how the Buckeyes use Ted Ginn, saying only, “I like how they use Ted.” That may not sound like much, but I haven’t heard him name anyone at Penn State, Nebraska, or Florida State like that.
Also when we were talking about the Army All-American game in San Antonio he told me that Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel had talked with the coaches for that game about how they were going to use him in the game (offense and defense, for example). That makes me wonder if he’s a silent commitment to Ohio State.
Here’s what he said, “I think my mom has done everything and things should be good. I’ve joined a gym and am doing some speed training. I think they might try to put me on offense also – the coach from Ohio State said that they were talking to him about that.”
Wallace has also been a long-time lurker on the Red Sea Scrolls. Until recently I have never seen him on the Ohio State board, however I have seen him there in the last couple of weeks posting things slyly – appearing to be someone else.
I think he’s a Buckeye in the end.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->
Not sure how credible this poster is but he seems well informed. I think it highlights my feelings on Wallace. PSU just landed 2 major recruits in Maryland and has always cleaned up there. Assumption: PSU. He has started talking to D Williams and his buddy Walton(if he qualifies) will probably end up there. Assumption: PSU . However people tend to forget how close he is with Tressel and Fickell, closeness with the players with the Jamario O'Neal facemask deal, and the fact that we have been in the lead or co-leaders throughout his whole recruitment. If you ask me I think we have as many or more things going for us than PSU. I don't think he is an OSU lock but I think we are in just as good of shape if not better than PSU right now.
