'06 MD CB A.J. Wallace (Penn State signee)

I don't have a good feeling either Camden, but I do know that the full court press is being applied and JT's in-home has been the most impressive visit yet. A.J. knows where he is going...but will hold the decision until the AA game.

I think our chances are at least 50/50 now. It is telling that he apparently had all his questions answered by JT, like Grad stated he was "blown away" by the home visit. Just believe that if he decides to go elsewhere, it will not be because the staff didn't do what was needed.

I started to get worried about all these db offers too, but then I thought about who we currently have committed. Right now we have 2 db's in this class. Even if the staff knew we were getting Wallace I would think they would still be looking for more db's. 3 just doesn't seem like it is enough. Especially if any of them will get looks on O (Wallace, maybe Schwartz).

Also, lets imagine that we did get Bowman. Would everyone be saying that we would get Wallace too? Most people thought we had no shot with Bowman until a few days before he announced. I just think that AJ has his mind made up and won't be swayed either way by what others do. Or maybe I am just trying to convince myself that he will be a Buck.

The thing about Wallace, though, is he might be the type of athlete that ends up playing a different position even though he is being recruited for CB. Hence, why I think there have been some offers out to other players at the same position. You can never have too many CB's(can switch to S much easier).

Exactally that is how JT recruits and when he tells a kid that he could easily move to WR he truly means it. He will play them wherever is best for the team.

would you be happy if our DB's this class included:

Kurt Coleman
Grant Schwartz
Raymond Small ( if they find that DB is his best position)

I'd be very happy with that union, but I feel that won't be our DB class. Even if we don't land AJ, I think we've got a great shot to pick up someone like Henderson, Udell, or Chekwa to go along with the guys you mentioned.

I think union might be trying to tell us something w/ his statement. I would satisfied w/ that class, but not ecstatic. I don't know if we have a true corner in that class. I think Grant ends up at safety, and it's been mentioned that Coleman was recruited as a safety as well. Small is a WR all the way in college, imo. If we don't get Wallace, then we get one of Udell, Henderson, or Chekwa.
