presumably the optimism stems from JT's in-home visit this past week.
however, there is far too much time for other in-home visitors and another official visit yet to be taken to get overly excited.

While I think we have a good shot at Wallace, there is a lot of time left until decision day. I have felt good about our chances since his visit, but he has shown a tendecy to be high on the last school he visited, so I will get excited on decision day.

of all the remaining recruits in this class that we are in on, i want Wallace the most. to have another big shutdown type corner to go along with Coleman i think finishes up our cb class for the year. not that i would pass on Hill or Small (wr most likely anyways), but i think that Wallace could become a definite cornerstone to ths recruiting class. and the last couple of cb's we've got from that coastal area (springs, jenkins) haven't been so bad.

Wallace says Ohio State and Penn State are his leaders. He will most likely not take his last official visit. Wallace raved about Coach Tressel's in-home visit. The staff is telling him they like him on offense and possibly playing both sides.

If they are looking at him on offense, I doubt Youboty's status would be a factor.

I'd say JT's point with the WR thing is that the staff is looking to get him on the field as early as possible.

What's good about this is that tOSU was rumored to be his "first love" for a long time, and it seems like his visit with JT reminded him of that...

i thinik that is good as well. however, i always worry about the johnny-come-lately teams in recruiting. Walton's interest in psu makes things even more worrisome. I don't know if that is enough to trump osu, but i'm not overly confident about our chances.
i would like to point out that I have said the same thing regarding bowman, and we shall see today.
