I could definitly see him and schoenhoft competing for the job after zwick, smith, and boeckman leave... that would be like zwick and smith again but all of those guys won't be gone for a few years.

Well, that was really surprising. I really thought we had a great chance. Oh well. Maybe this will help with Jones from IL or Henton from GA or get Mike Hartline his offer once camp rolls around. Good luck Isiah, except of course when you play the Bucks.

I like Jones now at QB... though I especially like Weber (and he is a future camper at OSU as well). However, Weber looks like he could be a Gopher. They aren't exactly loaded at QB, can offer early playing time, were the first to offer and they are the hometown school. Jones says high interest in Illinois/Notre Dame, but the Illini are out (Isiah said he and Demetrius would NOT go to the same school) and with Frazor to ND, they may have a future with him. Sorry I rambled a bit outside of Williams.

WOW! I just got home from work and I am as shocked as anyone else. The coach said he would be open and would wait until very late in the process. Williams barely even mentioned th Illini when we talked. Oh well. We had better get used to the Zooker doing a fine job at Illiniois.

Good get for Zook. I don't mind him grabbing all the good IL players and then failing elsewhere (which I doubt he'll do). Stealing Chi-town players hurts the scUMmers more than us.

exactly. iowa and ttun are hurt far more if indiana and illinois become recruiting war zones with weis and zook at ND and Ill. look at the recruiting commit list for iowa and ttun for the last 3 years and how much talent has come from that area.BuckeyeFROMscUM said:
