'06 IL QB Isiah "Juice" Williams (Illinois signee)

Well, one can argue that the MAC has produced better NFL QB's than the Big Ten lately. Less competition means they could have the chance to start for 2-3 years at a MAC school, play some games on ESPN, and make the jump to the NFL. Leftwich, Pennington, Roethlisberger, Frye, etc.

Excellent points, Cleve...

From Rivals100.com...Isiah received his most recent offer on Friday from Iowa State. He is now up to 16 offers, including ones from North Carolina, Wisconsin, Oregon, Ohio State, Boston College, Akron, Ball State, Northern Illinois, Illinois, Purdue, Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Iowa, Kansas and Indiana. He is really humble and flattered by all the attention he is receiving.

Clevebucks is right-QB is the one position where the depth chart and opportunity truly can make a difference. If you are a stud at virtually any other position, you will find playing time quickly. Not so if you are on the bench behind a one or more solid starters at QB. Given that No. Ill. offered, yeah, I'd say, Eastern Michigan better start with Plan B.

It's great to see a guy from Chicago say that tOSU is a "dream school" for him. There's a lot of talent in this area and we haven't drawn very many guys to the Buckeyes. But we're on TV in Chicago almost every game, so hopefully more top players around here will aspire to wear the Scarlet & Gray.

Indeed it is exciting. Realize that most of these guys grew up watching Cooper lose EVERY game to the scUMmers... so that probably has had some effect on that. As the younger guys grow up watching Tressel drive Carr into retirement, hopefully more of these guys can come our way.

Williams has Smith written all over him in his videos... yet amazingly, with a stronger arm.

Isiah has 19 offers, and his three favorites are Ohio State, Illinois, and Purdue. He and fellow Chicagoland QB Demetrius Jones are in contact, and they will definitely not end up at the same school.
Well that is very promising considering that both Illinois and tOSU are at the top of their lists. It seems like Demetrious may be a bit of an Illinois lean since Chris James verballed to Illinois. I am very confident that we will end up with at least one of them.

Some deciding factors will be academics, playing time, tradition and the schools atmosphere.

From Rivals100.com...Juice is actually up to 22 offers now, with Colorado, Central Michigan and New Mexico State throwing their names into the hat. His family is helping him a lot with researching schools and keeping things organized.

Max Emfinger's latest update has Juice as the 8th best athletic QB in the nation. Expect to see him continue to shoot upwards in the national recruiting scene.
