'06 FL S/WR Jamar Hornsby (official thread)

Would love to have this kid, but there are so many working against us in Florida!

You just know Urban Meyer will keep up his anti-OSU crap! High school coach wants him to go elsewere. This one will be next to impossible to get out of Fla!

Hopefully he doesn't change his mind about visiting and we get him on campus during summer camp when the weather is nice and hot and let JT, MW and the gang work their magic. As winter sets in, its harder to get a commitment out of the Florida Kids who visit Columbus during January.

From Scout.com...Jamar says Florida and Georgia Tech lead slightly over USC, Miami and Florida State. He also has offers from Michigan, Maryland, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Ohio State. OSU has been dropped to Low Interest.

Jamar attended Florida's Junior Day on saturday. Although the weather was bad, he enjoyed what he saw and envisioned himself in that offense. He has visited Florida and Georgia Tech but would also like to see FSU and Miami. He says he would like to stay close to home and be part of a winning program.

It is Georgia Tech at the top, not Georgia. I was just saying that because of Coach Geis's ties to GaTech and how he was trying to push Maurice there. Apparently he is doing the same with Jamar.

I think Florida and GT are the real players for Jamar...then it's us and everyone else. Getting him up here for an official will be a small victory for the Buckeyes. Getting a verbal out of him seems like a longshot at this point...

Jamar reiterates how much he enjoyed his trip to Florida. He was very impressed with Coach Meyer and the program. Jamar said he was more impressed by this trip than the GT trip. He may take other visits but does want to go far. He said he definitely does not want to drive more than a few hours to visit any school.
