USC In Mix With Florida RB

By Phil Kornblut
USC is one of the four schools set to get official visits in January from RB Kylan Robinson (6-1 215) of Tampa. Robinson visited UAB in early December. He will visit Ohio State January 6th followed by USC on the 13th, Miami on the 20th and Florida on the 27th. All have offered except Florida according to Chamberlain High assistant coach Brian Turner. Robinson moved to Tampa from Alaska earlier this year. He was an all state basketball player as a junior in Alaska. He began this football season as a tight end and a defensive end before being moved to running back. In ten games he rushed for 1600 yards and 11 touchdowns including 402 yards in one game. He was the county's leading rusher. "Once film got out, the word spread," Turner said. Robinson grew up a Miami fan but is remaining open regarding his options. Turner said USC, Miami and Ohio State appear to be the top three for him. USC recruiter David Reaves was actually the first major college coach to show serious interest in Robinson.

There's a rumor over in Hurricane country is that Javarris James is losing interest in Miami. His parents want him to go to Miami, but his coach said that he doesn't think James' heart is with Miami and he wouldn't be suprised if he starts seriously looking at other schools. There's been some talk that James really likes USF.

One of the guys over on the Miami forum who went to KRob's school said that he put up good numbers against poor teams and struggled against the better ones. He's also had some sort of a suspension this year.
