Weight: 170 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.4 seconds
Stats: 900 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns

Bio Notes: Ramsey was named second team Bayriver District running back as a junior.

Schools in the Running: Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Virginia - tOSU is trying to get Darrieus to come to June's football camp and they were one of the first teams to send him letters
 
This kid's speed is actually in the 4.3 range. He also returnes punts and kickoffs and is starting to get additional interest from Maryland, Duke and the Naval Academy. This kid will be a great asset to which ever programs he signs with.

Welcome to the board, DB. Do you know how much interest Ramsey has in Ohio State and if the Buckeyes have been in contact? I'm sure the coaches would like to see him at camp. He sounds like a good one :)

Being a military brat, he's not particularly committed to any school based on state, so location wont' be a factor in his decision. The Buckeyes wrote him early on recommending him as a prospective student athlete and sending him their camp info. The upcoming Nike camp will determine which camps he decides to attend and OSU is on the top of his list. Being that he has not attended any camps in the past, many schools are impressed with him, but really want to see him in action live.

Buckeye sports should have a copy of his film.

He will more than likely end up being a DB with punt return and kick-off responsibilities. His defensive stats as a CB were just as good as his offensive. He also had 376 KOR yards on 14 returns which were not included on his rivals profile. He actually should have been 1st team DB as a two to be three year starter at CB, but the seniors got the recognition. So he's a listed as an APB/Cornerback and can pretty much play anywhere you put him.

thanks for the update and I will add my welcome- are most schools looking at Darrieus at RB or DB? It appears from reading the reports on him that he prefers RB. Keep us posted on his recruitment if you can!

Update, Darrieus has received an invite to attend the FSU's annual Garnet and Gold football game for 3 April. He will more than likely attend. He's also been invited to attend the Auburn A-days this weekend and the UVA Spring game on the 17th. Hopefully we will get an invite from OSU also. Does anyone know what know what their upcoming Junior day events are?

i know the nike camp is in town on the 17th of april. also that day osu is having spring practice and will be having a scrimmage in the horseshoe after the nike camp. i would have ramsey or his coach contact the school if they are interested in coming. good chance to show off the skills for the coaches as well as check out all the facilities and see how a practice is ran.

Unfortunately he will be attending the Nike Camp at UVA the next day on the 18th and will rest the night before after the UVA game. When is OSU spring game?

osu spring game is the following saturday on the 24th. it is a 1:30pm kickoff though that may not be exactly right. i have also read 1pm so who knows. we will probably have at least 50,000 people there paying $5.50 a pop to watch a scrimmage (depending on the weather of course; if it is nice out we will have hot chicks galore there too!!!).

DB, if you want to see some film of some other guys osu is recruiting or has signed you can check out the film i shoot in ohio from the past couple of seasons. i do rotate the film often though so there are only 15 minutes of highlights there despite me having hours and hours of clips available.

you do need to sign up for a free sony imagestation account if you want to watch the film. sign up is free, they just ask for an email address and then for you to activate your account by clicking on a link in an email you receive. they have never spammed me yet (and i have bought crap from sony online even). if you have privacy concerns i would recommend setting up a dummy email account on yahoo or hotmail for this activation process and then just forgetting about that free email account so spam and privacy isn't a concern of yours.

i wrote up a FAQ on how to download from imagestation too if it helps here is the link:

i have also helped high school kids and coaches get their film on the net for free. i have only ever had one school respond so far (ohio superpower cleveland st ignatius) but i put up some clips of them on their site for them for no cost at all. that way all the fans can see them in action instead of just the paying subscribers for the corporate sites. i have always had a standing offer to help any high school out in guiding them on how to do it themselves or if they can't for whatever reason doing it for them if they send me the film. one warning here though is garbage in garbage out. if the source tape is low quality so will be the video captures. if you know a coach or whatnot and could get the film i would be more than willing to walk you through the process or cap off a few in my studio if you sent me a tape. i retain no ownership of the film and i don't use it for my site at all. i just post a link to the imagestation archive free for all family and friends to download off of to save the film for themselves.

anyways enough of the shameless plug and back to some football....
