free insiders

HAMILTON, OHIO (September 10, 2004) --- As a result of being one of the top high school football players in the nation, Adam Myers-White (right) of Hamilton, Ohio has been named a 2005 U.S. Army All-American. Myers-White will also be named as one of the athletes to watch for the Ball Park National H.S. Player of the Year. The Ball Park Player of the Year features the Ken Hall Trophy. During the ceremony for Myers-White Ken “Sugarland Express” Hall will make a special appearance to officially announce Adam Myers-White as a potential candidate for this award. Ken Hall is recognized as high school football’s greatest player and has recently been named as the fifth all-time best high school athlete by ESPN. The Ken Hall Trophy, is the equivalent of the high school Heisman Trophy and is named after record setting running back Ken Hall of Sugarland, Texas.

Myers-White will join a stand-out list of athletes playing in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. This classic east vs. west match-up will be televised live on NBC at 12:00 p.m. (CST) and will feature the best 78 high school football student-athletes in the country.

“It is a great pleasure to have this fine young man selected to represent his school and community as a U.S. Army All-American,” said Colonel Thomas Nickerson, Director of Strategic Outreach for the U.S. Army Accessions Command. “He has proven himself to be a superior athlete and I know he will add an exciting dimension to January’s game.

Our slogan, ‘An Army of One,’ recognizes the value of individual talents toward achieving team goals, and his talents make him a strong addition to this All-American team, Nickerson added. This game will highlight his skills for a national audience, and the Army is pleased to provide this opportunity to him and all the U.S. Army All-Americans.”

Myers-White is a standout defensive back at Hamilton High School and was one of 400 players nominated nationally and one of 78 selected to participate by Tom Lemming, a well-respected evaluator of prep football talent and contributor to ESPN Sports and USA Today.

“The prototypical Free Safety with size, speed, smarts and instincts. Adam shows me outstanding tackling ability, he's tremendous in coverage, has the height to compete for jump balls and the size and strength to out muscle most receivers,” Lemming said.

Paxson of Greenwood, Ind., running back Toney Baker of Jamestown, N.C., safety Adam Myers-White of Hamilton, Ohio, offensive tackle Chris Scott of Lovejoy, Ga., cornerback Antonio Wardlow of Winston-Salem, N.C., and linebacker Todd Cox of Harding Academy in Memphis.

Tennessee commitments Jonathan Crompton, LaMarcus Coker and Wes Brown were also at the game.

A poster on the Bucknuts board posted that we pulled Adam Myers-White's offer according to a recent Rivals update. It kind of sounds like BS to be but is there any truth to this?

Purdue rivals premium

The Purdue Rivals writer is quoting AMW as saying that tOSU has "yanked" his scholarship. They apparently told him they were going in a different direction. Unless they were lying about his direct quotes it appears to be true.
