saw that too...the last time a report that he may be wavering surfaced, Alex shot it down pronto...hopefully this time there is some truth to it.

Here's something from a source (on this board) whom I would trust more:

Mark Rea at BSB reported the rumor on the Horseshoe Lounge (their premium board); apparanently, Duane has since talked with Alex, and this is his report of their conversation:

Duane - "Alex, the rumormill is running again"
Alex - "What are they saying now, Mr.Long???!!!"
Duane - "You are wavering in your commitment to Minnesota".
Alex - "That is not true. I made my commitment. I am solid with it. There is no chance I change my mind. I took a long time to come to this decision. It was not a snap judgement. Where do these things get started??? Nobody asked me. Not until you called, I mean."

So Mark Rea says he is hedging and Alex Daniels says he is not.

Who are you going to believe? Some teenager going through this process for the first time or an experienced sports journalist?

Alex will visit tOSU today after talking to Coach Fickell yesterday. Fickell met with Alex at school then attended his basketball game. Daniels maintains that he is solid to Minnesota but will visit campus today at noon to talk with Coach Tressel and some players as a courtesy to the staff. However, the staff is hoping to at least make his decision a little tougher.

I am a little confused as why even meet with the staff if you are solid on Minny? I don't buy the courtesy explanation. Something tells me that he is wavering.

I am probably wrong though. Story of my life.
