harry this is the place to be to see the light. It is like heaven over here compared to sucknuts. That place is so out of wack it is kind of funny. There are like 8 threads on TW.
I know...I'm a long time lurker on both boards. Here since the beginning and BN for years now. Huge difference in posters...sorry to disrupt the conversation..back to Rico.....

I believe Pitt has really closed the gap, but I am still hoping he becomes a buckeye.

McCoy hasn't been to Columbus yet, as I'm sure you know. Any gap that was closed will be opened right up after he trips here. Can't blame him for being cautious about the NCAA investigation. In the end I think he picks the Buckeyes.

I think that message boards will continue to become larger parts of the recruiting process as time goes on. This is why we have the potential to be so dangerous. I'm thankful that posters over here don't trash recruits and that any possible negatives regarding their play (hey, everyone can improve) are constructive. Guys like Taz and Rico are showing us the future, and how truly passionate and responsible fans can and will have a direct impact on the University and the Program. It shows responsible young men to bother to research these aspects of the University because they will be married to the fans and their opinions for [strike]3 to 5 years[/strike] LIFE. Every team has a few idiot fans, but I'm convinced this will be a huge advantage for the Buckeyes in the future because of how much we truly love this team. I think that our passion shows in every post...even the misguided Noobs (I think I have enough posts to call others "Noobs" now?)

I disagree, you become a buckeye for life. Remeber the notes Dennis Kennedy and his family wrote, they consider themsevles buckeyes for life too. A great thing about The Ohio State University is a family and a group you are always apart of. A reason it is such a great institution.

I had a profesor who told the story during the Gulf War how he went to a dinner in the middle east, he forgot his invitation, the Marines were providing security, he was not let in the door, a superior officer was summoned who summoned the colonel, who got the brigadier general. The general seeing the ohio state block O on his suits lapel, looked at the profesor and said "i graduated from the ohio state university, sorry for the inconvience" my profesor siad he thanked him to which was replied "once a buckeye always a buckeye"

An odd story, but another reason it is great to be part of Tradition Honor Excellence Ohio State University

That kinda post pumps me up. Can't believe we have to wait another 3 weeks for a game!

I guess I forgot that Krenzel is a backup QB in Chicago and we still have posts every day about him, his play and his injury status.

Back on subject...I'm also optimistic about Rico, but Pitt scares me. He seems to really have enjoyed that trip.

Hey Oiler listen to Bucknutty he seems really optimistic about this one. Well at least he brought me back to my optimistic view on this. :)

Hopefully his visit to tOSU will be awesome and he will get to see first hand how much more we have to offer than Pitt. I mean we can lose a recruiting battle to Pitt can we? They almost lost to Furman for crying out loud.

I'm an eternal pessimist when it comes to recruiting. The last couple years have really nicked me in the kuts. Luckily, this year I am on a site where the recruiting gurus tell it how it is. I get a little more optimistic here because if Nutty and 86 aren't trying to sell premium passes .

Maybe this is the year we finish strong on recruiting as well! I just like to keep my hopes low so I get what I expected or I'm pleasantly surprised.

Just a thought, but how certain is it that that is really Rico posting? I'm pretty skeptical about it right now, but I was wondering if there was any "proof" it was him. I mean, c'mon. We had Mark Sanchez supposedly post here a few times. It could be any random person looking for some kicks.

That was my first thought as well. I checked out his login name. He only had 6 posts. 3 were on the superpreps main board with questions to safrit about rico mccoy, the other 3 were on osu's recruiting board.

if it was indeed mccoy, it is a good sign that he is only posting on osu's board, but it is also bad in that he likely reads the assinine ramblings of some of the keyboard slapping chimps that frequent it.
