Why is the gun stuff such a big deal? This is Texas, damn near everyone has a least one gun. Heck since the crime rates shot up with the Katrina refugees even the lefties are getting CHL and carrying.
Whoever wrote that article should have done their research. Texas has had closed practice since last year when a fan post pix on line of a nasty injury before the coaches could contact the kids parents. Texas has had 3(?) open practices for fan appreciation days this summer.
The Broken Spoke on South Lamar is what you are looking for and pretty much the last country bar in Austin. There are a few others in the surrounding small towns. If you can work in a trip to Gruene Hall in New Braunfels about 45 minutes south of Austin do it.
So, as I read this thread I find out that while OSU scored 34 points on a mediocre and slow ND defense at a neutral site they are going to do the same against a much better and faster Texas' defense at Texas w/o Holmes or Mangold? Right. :shake:

I didn't say they shut them down. I just meant they've seen a far better offense than what OSU will have. While you guys likely haven't re-watched the RB, Lienert put on a clinic in the second half of threading balls to well covered receivers.
As I recall that same defense kept OSU offense...
If OSU has 21 points by half time the wheels have come off the freshman QBs for turnovers. Otherwise 21 points for the game tops.
