I'm still disappointed but it makes sense
Why travel a long distance for a likely win but a small payout, when you could stay home thump some team and make a killing? It does make me wonder how Oregon convinced Michigan and Oklahoma to actually travel to Eugene for a game. After all Autzen...
If she wants to do "tricks", I guess she best not do them in Spotsylvannia County, Virginia. As, post climax, the John may reveal himself to be a cop!!!
So get on the phone, call any well heeled Buckeye boosters that you know and have them lean on the athletic department and have them say "Don't back out of the game, we want a road trip!" Who knows maybe Paul Allen (a WSU alumnus) could sweeten the pot to keep the game on the schedule.
Had the game been played it almost certainly would have been the one game each year that WSU plays at Qwest Field in Seattle. I believe that Qwest seats 67,000-70,000, which is still small by the standard of the Shoe. However the stadium is deluxe all the way; hell it cost us Washington state...
Thomas Kemper available in OH at:
I have just looked on the Thomas Kemper website tksoda.com and their sodas are available in 17 states. The following Ohio locations are listed on the site.
Anderson's East 5800 Alshire Rd.
Columbus, OH
Anderson's Lima 3000 W. Elm
Lima, OH
Anderson's...
Thomas Kemper Root Beer, the best root beer I've tried without a doubt. On tap its even better! Pyramid Breweries in Seattle makes it. I know that Thomas Kemper is available all up and down the west coast and I think as far east as Chicago. Under the Thomas Kemper label Pyramid also makes Orange...
Thank you for the back handed complement!:D I'd imagine that tOSU was about as afraid of the prospect of playing WSU as they would be to play YSU or SDSU!:D I'm sure that it must have been to make room for some big time OOC game. Who did they get to fill the open slot?
WSU/tOSU cancelled?
Well shit!!! I've been looking forward to that matchup eversince that '02 game in Columbus. No point in speculating why the Buckeyes backed out...it's just damn disappointing! I would have liked to have the Cougs finally play the Bucks outside of the Shoe. Oh well, I see WSU...
Yeah, I figured that out too as I was finishing my last post but I was too lazy to delete the last sentences. The twins were demanding their morning gruel.:D
I figured it must have been something like that. Perhaps I should have had my "sarcasm alert" on that statement. I figured that in keeping with the thread I should have something to bitch about no matter how minor! If the Cougar head comes back, then that is wonderful. If it doesn't, well I will...
My 2cents....
I have been a member on this board for a long time and though I am a fairly infrequent poster I have enjoyed reading the various threads and have contributed to a few. I have just finished reading through this mammoth thread and have a few comments of my own.
Firstly, I...
Washington Huskies
UW my least favorite of course! Arrogant without reason, so liberal they are a shade of deep red, and.....they slam their own alumni hero Pappy Boyington! He shoots down 28 Japanese planes, awarded the Navy Cross, and Medal of Honor, POW in Japanese camps for 18 months. But...
Dare we hope?
Maybe he has grown up finally? Certainly I would be hard pressed to come up with a player who has squandered more natural talent than he has. That being said perhaps his football life story would be a valuable warning to any college athletes who may have a professional fu future.
I'll watch: Ski Jumping, Bobsled, Luge and Skeleton. I'm amazed that there are enough crazy SOBs to go down the track on luge sleds [I][B]Head First!
I will probably watch more coverage on CBC just because I can't stand Bob Costas, and all of that personal story crap I could do without.
I've been putting as much into our Roth IRA and 401(k) as we can tolerably afford, but with five kids its no mean feat to keep them in food and clothes. It will be interesting in seven years when our eldest is old enough for college! Oh the wonders and worries of being an adult! There are times...
Some bad calls but no doubt the Steelers were better.
Even though there were some bad calls, and most of those went against the 'Hawks, the Steelers were clearly the better team today. Congratulations to them they did deserve it!
Yippie shit!
On the Jerome Bettis thing! So what he doesn't have a Super Bowl ring yet. Cry me a river! Hey Mack Strong, a 13 or 14 year vet for Seattle, doesn't have a ring either. With any luck the Seahawks will win and then Bettis an join all the other athletes who have never won a title...
What it comes down to is the number 12
LoudBuckeyeGirl :"If you have a business selling t-shirts w/ the phrase "12th man" (and the Aggies do), and someone else comes along and starts the same business with the same phrase, don't you have some obligation to protect your trademark? The Aggies...
