Most of the winter olympics are pretty cool. Who here remembers Hershel Walker trying to do well in the bobsled?

I always think that I won't watch but end up tuning in for most of the sports or at least the updates.

I enjoy the summer games more. But the winter games are still good.

Snowboarding(I think thats a "official" sport now) is one of my favorite sports, so I would like to see some of that this year.

I'll watch: Ski Jumping, Bobsled, Luge and Skeleton. I'm amazed that there are enough crazy SOBs to go down the track on luge sleds Head First!
I will probably watch more coverage on CBC just because I can't stand Bob Costas, and all of that personal story crap I could do without.

agreed. I thought CNBC would be worthwhile and all they've shown is garbage women's hockey.

I take it back

For the winter games I like to watch any sport that has the possibility for a massive crash. This goes for ski jumping, bob sleding, and such.

Who's with me on this one?

I always knew Canada had a good mens hockey team, but I never knew they had such a good women's team. They are up on Russia 11-0. Its the 3rd period and Russia just got their first shot of the game.

Wasn't Russia good at hockey some time?

I love the winter Olympics. All skiing events, bobsleigh, luge, skeleton, ski jumping, speed skating (short and long), and the only time I can "watch" hockey. I can take or leave the snowboarding events. I can absolutely do without the figure skating. I will not watch the men's skating. As for the women's skating, I can barely tolerate it, but Mrs. Buckiprof likes to watch it. As I told Mrs. Buckiprof about 20 years ago, the only way I would find figure skating enjoyable to watch was if the women were naked. I repeat this every winter Olympics. I said it again yesterday when the pairs event was on thinking only the Mrs. was around, but my oldest son was close enough to hear me. By the way he charged into the room, I think he thought I said that the women were skating naked!

Man I have never watched speed skating but it is cool as hell. Especially when they have about 6 peole on the little rink. THose dudes are flying on skates.
