Lots of good, bad, and ugly in that game.
Good:
- We stole a point.
- Nice to see Columbus have a great pro atmosphere. Was watching the news after the game and they said that increased attendance is really helping out the Arena District.
- Mason is crazy. Must. Give. Props.
- Lots of hits...
The Cavaliers have no one who can be a force inside against teams with big men like the Celtics (even w/o KG) or the Lakers. Zydrunas is an outside shooter on offense and an interior defender on defense. Not gonna cut it. Varejao was the only guy that was scoring on the inside. LeBron had four...
Any ideas about lines?
I'm thinking it's gonna end up looking like
Kunitz-Croz-Guerin
Fedo-Malkin-Sykora
Cooke-Staal-Kennedy
Dupuis-Talbot-Adams
For gods sake, please don't say that Kunitz should play with Staal. Yeah, he has looked great with him, but I think that is a product of how perfect...
Man, he really can be a force down low. 9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.15 blocks with only 22+ minutes per game is stupendous for a center his age. No one should ever doubt his ability. But, jeez, the injuries are killing him, both physically and mentally.
And the fact that he gets called for...
Glad they signed Pedro Alvarez. He had a clutch double in the 9th of the second spring game that added to a rally to win the game. Yeah, I know, it doesn't mean much, but it was nice to see.
Bixler is not going to be able to replace Jack Flash at shortstop when he inevitably leaves the club via...
Awesome trade. I am extremely happy. Got a quality prospect in Tangardi. Got a top-6 winger in Kunitz. And, honestly, Whitney can be replaced with either Goli or Letang.
Aaron Curry #1? May have the talent level, but the Lions can get a LB later on.
Maulauga #5? Come on...
Knowshon #16 to Chargers?!?!?!
Donald Brown #21?!?!?!
Clay Matthews goes in the 1st round?!?!?!
Beanie #31, the 3rd RB taken? Ricola. Ridiculous.
And, to cap it all off, the Steelers do...
Not only that, but Gholston was forced to change positions to play OLB for the NYJ. The guy changed positions, end of story. Give him a year for pete's sake. (Some) Steelers fans gave Lawrence Timmons a year, and he shined this year.
I'm more upset with Ray Shero than Marian Hossa. The talented have the right to do what they want to do. Shero is the one that couldn't convince Hossa that this was the place he wanted to be. The fault is our own. And, I still like watching Hossa play hockey, even if it is a bit bittersweet. Guy...
Some Pens fans still haven't gotten over it. Sorry for our poor manners.
Anyway, a 3 game points streak. Wow. Maybe this dude knows what he is doing. Or maybe we are the NHL's version of the Phoenix Suns, who are also surging since hiring a new head coach but will probably fall back down to...
This sucks. Gotta pull the trigger. Then again, if we weren't going to offer him, maybe this doesn't really matter.
Still, seems to me like he has a good skillset. Good grab by UC. Good luck to Alex, and please go easy on the Thunderhawks this year...
Warning: Language (Delete the spaces after it pops up)
Edit: Adding my explanation.
I'm supposed to sympathize with the guy that can't keep a winger on Crosby's line for more than two games? I'm supposed to sympathize with the guy that the players hated?
Here's the truth about Therrien...
