From the OSU site...latest offers are from West Virginia, Michigan and Duke...talks about his interest and contact with OSU...says he has the best relationship with the UC staff and also likes Kentucky because he was a UK fan growing up and has family there...says the offer from UM was the first contact he has had with them and he will seriously conisder the Wolverines.

Someone forgot to tell him to smile for his picture.

He's got pretty good size for a tight end; anybody see him outgrowing TE and moving to tackle? Athletic big guys are hard to come by.

I don't want him to smile. IF he's mean and nasty, that's a GOOD thing.

I hope OSU offers him soon.

This sucks. Gotta pull the trigger. Then again, if we weren't going to offer him, maybe this doesn't really matter.

Still, seems to me like he has a good skillset. Good grab by UC. Good luck to Alex, and please go easy on the Thunderhawks this year...

In my opinion, this was Brandon Moore case all over again. Smith doesn't fit into TE prototype we are looking for. Of course, if I am wrong and he is at the top of the TE board, this verbal would not stop our staff from offering, again IMO.

What type is that, exactly? The type that can block AND catch? He's a much better prospect than Moore, and I bet he'll get an offer eventually. Although, I disagree that he can be turned. He's seems sold on UC and is already talking about recruiting for them and getting all the local guys to stay home.

The staff blew this one, IMO...
