I honestly think Satan is a much better playmaker at this stage in his career than he is a sniper. He's been making some beautiful feeds tonight with his 4th line guys and just there with Crosby. He'd look great on Staal's wing.
Ovechkin gets opportunities every time he comes into the offensive zone with his wicked shot. Crosby is a lunatic that has the skillset of an elite playmaking center and the mindset of a grinder.
But, the guy that can take over a game and tell the other team "No" is Evgeni Malkin.
The one thing about Malkin though is that he is at least giving everything he's got and he's making some opportunities. They just aren't going in. I don't think we should forget his two seasons of dominance just because of two games. Two games that he has assists in for pete's sake. He needs to...
Malkin is the kind of player that needs to have a lot of ice time early to get into his groove. 11 minutes through two periods won't cut it. Going 7 minutes per period will. Malkin averaged 22 minutes of ice time during the season. I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but the 3 minutes of ice...
It's a shame that Crosby playing out of his mind counts for nothing right now in terms of wins. He's either had a goal or been robbed of a goal by a jaw dropping save in 5 of the 6 periods of hockey in this series.
