It was a joke, but if you're going in that direction the point still stands. I'm rooting for the Cowboys, which doesn't involve overreacting to one game like Garrett hasn't shown over the course of his 130+ to be a bang average vapid cheerleader of a coach. Let's not act like the ending to that...
Aside from the obvious reasons everyone should be enjoying this, I hope everyone is able to appreciate Notre Dame getting torched by a kid whose surname is a fake saint.
Wasn't the clownshow year that I thought it might be, but I'll take 10-2 Michigan seasons for eternity as long as their DCs keep deciding to bring piss to a shit fight in The Game. These interviews are pure heroin.
And I once again assert that's the implication made whenever people bring up spooky cautionary tales to anyone not scared shitless of Urban's inevitable departure. Ten years ago there were people that wanted Jim Tressel gone after two embarrassing NC losses and there were people that thought...
That's an argument people make every time they bring up Earle Bruce, John Cooper, and other blue bloods ending up in the wilderness.
There's a possibility that Ohio State ends up with another 9-3 Earle or guy that can't beat Michigan, not an inevitability.
They might get worse. Ryan Day or whoever they hire might also never lose a game. No one knows.
Point is that talking like Urban Meyer's continued employment is the only thing keeping Ohio State football from being the national shitshow at the fuck factory is some cult shit.
What hyperbole? I'm not the one suggesting Ohio State's going to fall into the abyss after he retires.
Urban wasn't the first great coach and he won't be the last, regardless of how much some of you seem to want that to be true.
The people acting like Urban Meyer is the only man on earth that could possibly be successful at Ohio State because of John Cooper PTSD are being equally as idiotic as the people that want him gone.
Michael Vick has a TV job. Urban would have an offer the day of.
When he leaves Ohio State, I think he's done coaching, unless he comes out of retirement in 10 years to coach Cincinnati or some shit. There's no chance he takes a job at another pressure cooker like USC.
