Oh, and Felipe Franks had a season high today in rushing yards against that fraud Michigan defense. Yes, a season high, in a season for Franks that included games against Charleston Southern, Idaho and Colorado State.
Hell of a way to end the season, you clown. First, your rival (against whom you were favored) completely hands you your shirt. Then, Florida kicks you in the teeth when you're down.
And to think, on November 24, a ton of people thought this fraud was going to lead his team to the playoff...
Also, note that Lewan was completely buckled in (helmet on, all chinstraps snapped in), just in case the DB started throwing punches. Lewan seriously may be the biggest wannabe tough guy in the NFL.
Yeah, I'm assuming that...because that's what the past has told us. No one's more for objectivity than I am, but the fact of the matter that no one at the table has had the chops to stand up to the SEC's preferred approach of "x best teams."
All those wanting an 8-team playoff...Michigan, who was crushed by our Bucks in The Game and didn't play for their conference title, would be in this year.
Bingo. Reading between the lines on the second of the three, I think he knew Day was likely gone at the end of this season, he has the utmost faith in Day, and he knew that the odds of someone the quality of Day agreeing to come to OSU to be his successor in the next 2-3 years (when he may have...
Look, I don't want to turn this into a Gene Smith thread, but there's an another side to this--hiring Urban Meyer was something anyone on this planet who watches CFB would've been smart enough to do, Day was hired by Urban, Day got a chance to show what he's got in the 3-game suspension (for...
Agreed. Michigan was the darling of the committee until they got their doors blown off by OSU--squarely within the top 4 despite the loss to ND, a near loss to NW, and less-than-impressive wins against Indiana and MSU. They were in without a doubt, had they won out.
It doesn't interest you. Cool. It interests some people on this board. That doesn't give you license to put words in their mouths:
A great percentage of those taking issue with the committee are not saying OSU should be in, but that OSU should be above Georgia. But you knew that already.
...and the Oklahoma/Oklahoma State game was on November 10. Much like OSU/Maryland, Oklahoma needed (and got) a stop on a two-point conversion, or they would have lost the game. At home. Against an Oklahoma State team that finished the season 6-6.
Agreed completely. There's no basis on which a one-loss conference champ should be behind a two-loss non-conference champ, even more so when the first team has better wins than the second. This was a really bad move, precedent-wise, by the committee. Then again, you'll never hear about that...
I don't know--I'm not sure I see any valid argument for ranking Georgia ahead of OSU. OSU was a conference champ to Georgia not being a conference champ, OSU had one loss (albeit an awful one) to Georgia's two losses, and OSU has a better slate of wins than Georgia (vs. #7 Michigan, @ #12 PSU...
