Here's one for a good laugh.
We get invited to my wife's 20th HS reunion in a real small town in southern Indiana, very rural, cows, pigs, barns, farms the whole nine yards. Our background is that we both work and live in Indy, both have 4 year degrees, both of us are professionals, she's in...
Excellent, thank you for the skull session and restaurant suggestions guys I appreciate those!
Is there some sort of area with the championship trophies or Buckeye football history that the public can visit?
This game and this loss, to me, is the ULTIMATE proof that pre-season rankings are worthless and weak. Personally, I think there shouldn't be rankings until after a couple of weeks of play but I fully realize that the rankings help sell games and advertisement time on t.v. so it will probably...
Thank you - I mapped out the varsity club. I don't know why I recall this but my next door neighbor (where I lived when I was a kid) graduated from tOSU and used to sport a Varsity Club shirt. Mind you this was the mid to late 1970's (I would have been 10 in '78.) He went to under grad and...
I'm almost 40 and I'm going to the shoe for the first time in my life, I'm as giddy as a buck in heat in a field full of horny does! :) If they lose I'm going to cut my arms off . . . or just get piss drunk and mope around for a week or two like I usually do after a loss.
Okay, I'm damn near 40 (almost, not quite), I'm from Ohio and my God this is going to sound disgraceful but I'm popping my cherry this weekend and going to my first tOSU game this weekend. Keep in mind I've never missed a game (either on radio or t.v.) in probably 25+ years I'm thinking...
I was listening to the Jim Rome show on Friday afternoon. I heard a Michigan fan call in and go off about about App. State fan sexing up their sisters before the game and showing off their tooth and what not. Well, looks to me like App. State brought their tooth and bit scUM in the ass with...
I've read online here that away tickets go on sale at opposing universities and sometimes you can get tOSU tickets from their ticket office for those games.
So, I called the YSU ticket office just now (8/13) 11:30 AM - the phone number is (330-941-1YSU) - they have 500 tickets available but to...
I'm a Bengals fan living in Indy but I watch the Colts quite a bit and listen to a lot of local sports talk radio and all week the buzz has been about the anticipation of hopefully getting Gonzo to fill the huge void left by Brandon Stokley. Stokley had almost the same profile, good guy...
Congrats on great win and thanks for not being a tool. You should enjoy your win and savor it all in, it goes by much too quickly.
Having said all that, I really hope we get a chance to redeem ourselves soon and show the world (again) what we can do.
Cheers!
Well he could be saying that but to be quite honest I can never really make out what he's trying to say. Either way it's never really important or accurate so in the end it's fine either way. ;)
I'm too afraid to because I figure it will be Lee Corso wearing a Gators head raping Buckeye Bruce, Mark May crapping in a Buckeye's helmet and Lou Holtz spraying spit and saliva all over the camera's at ESPN muttering something about the Gators being wonderful and then something unintelligible...
They have to establish their running game.
Ohio State needs to play Buckeye football.
They need to air it out more.
They have to make plays on both sides of the ball.
You could have driven a truck through that hole.
(I prefer "Madonna has nothing on that hole" but that's me.)
He put a hat...
Crow, I'm having a LOT of crow.
The guys at work knew it was my birthday and no-one has said a word to me all day. So, to break the ice, I was presented with a nice blue and orange birthday cake, they did the Gator chop thing and I got a nice birthday card from Urban Meyer.
:)
I agree. This is not a lazy guy that's just going to let this loss get the best of him. He's always motivated, he's always up for a challenge and I guarantee you he learned a lot more from this loss than any win in his career.
I agree with both points:
1998 was soul crushing. We practically had an NFL team of talent and we lost to an "M" team. That team was the best college football team these eyes have ever witnessed. Period. And that loss was inexcusable but not getting a shot at the title that year was...
Agree with it. It resulted in 3 points. We lost by 27. It was not a deciding factor for them. If we get that first down, maybe it would have given our guys the confidence we were looking for at that time?
I don't think this gets said enough. . .
But the loss aside, I'm still happier than hell Jim Tressel is the head coach of this team, our Buckeyes. I'm embarrassed for other fans when their coaches act like babies, pout, throw things, yell, swear and generally just behave like my 2 year old...
