2026 NFL Draft April 23 - 25 at Point State Park and Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh to Host 2026 NFL Draft

The NFL announced that the 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh, incorporating elements of the iconic Point State Park as well as Acrisure Stadium, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The announcement was made at the NFL Spring League Meeting in Nashville, following a review of Pittsburgh's bid proposal by the Fan Engagement & Major Events Advisory Committee and full ownership.

“The NFL Draft is one of the biggest, most-anticipated sporting events of the year, and we're thrilled to partner with the Pittsburgh Steelers and VisitPITTSBURGH for our 2026 event," said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “We have a unique opportunity to spotlight this wonderful community on a global stage, benefiting Pittsburgh's economy and entertaining football fans from all markets. We know this pride of Pennsylvania will shine bright in 2026."

Throughout the three-day event, Pittsburgh will host a slate of Draft activities including a variety of community events, Concert Series and NFL Draft Experience – the NFL's ultimate fan festival. Draft Experience will be free for fans, inviting them to participate in immersive exhibits and games, take photos with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, enjoy the youth-focused Play 60 Zone, shop exclusive merchandise at NFL Shop presented by Visa, and score autographs from current NFL players and Legends.

“We are excited that the City of Pittsburgh has been selected to host the 2026 NFL Draft," said Art Rooney II, Pittsburgh Steelers President. “This will be an amazing event that will highlight everything the region has to offer on a national and international level. I truly appreciate the work that has been done by VisitPITTSBURGH, the NFL, local and state officials and internally within our organization to accomplish our goal of being selected to host the NFL Draft. We look forward to football fans from across the country coming to enjoy our city's culture while also showcasing our rich football history and tradition in the region."

Women's Pro Golf

Jumping on the Caitlyn Clark bandwagon, watched a bit yesterday with CC playing in the Annika S golf tournament. She looked every bit the golfer, saw her plunk a hybrid in the drink. Guess I expected the ball to dance up to the pin, but hey, she doesn't make all the threes does she? Saw some talent, (she does have a cohesive swing - but not like Nelly Korda), but not a terrible amount of experience. I know, it was/is more of a promotional thing. She had Sophie and Lexie in shorts on her bag, but never really saw either tote it. Anyway, know that the difference between a successful male pro, and a +4 handicap for a collegiate golfer is a very wide chasm, how so is it with the women's tour?

Tracking Ohio State’s 2025 Black Stripe Removals

Ohio State's black stripe tradition is as strong as ever in 2025.
Implemented by Urban Meyer when he first took over as the Buckeyes' head coach in 2012, any new Ohio State players are given a black stripe to wear overtop the typically scarlet one on their helmets. This includes incoming freshmen, transfers and walk-ons.
The black stripe is not removed until that player proves he is willing to put in the work it takes to contribute to one of the nation's top programs and elevated himself enough in practice that coaches take notice. By the tradition, a player is not “officially” a Buckeye until his black stripe is removed.
After redshirt freshmen Miles Lockhart, Dominic Kirks, Simon Lorentz and Eric Mensah, transfers Max Klare and Ethan Onianwa and freshman Quincy Porter got their black stripes removed in the spring, we're here to track all of the Buckeyes who shed theirs this fall.

Black Stripe Removals

Nov. 5, 2025

Glorien Gough

The first Buckeye of November to have his black stripe removed was walk-on cornerback Glorien Gough.
A former member of Ohio State’s club football team, Gough is in his second year with the Buckeyes. The Mater Dei alumnus made the first game appearance of his career on kickoff coverage in Ohio State’s 70-0 win over Grambling State in Week 2, and could now be a candidate to push for more playing time on special teams.

Ohio State 2024 is the Best Ohio State Football Team

October 29th, 20225 This is for a school assignment and it was rushed so some info might be off.

Dear Ohio State Football 2024,

There have been many Ohio State football teams that have gone undefeated, won the National Title, and had 10+ NFL players on the roster, which is extremely outstanding. It truly represents the amazing culture in the program and the greatness in the coaching staff, but the 2024 team, to me, stands out the most. I believe this because this team set the record for the most NFL players on one college team roster and won the National title, and I want to praise them for what they did and share it with the rest of the Ohio State football community.
Many People say that the greatest Ohio State team is the 2014 team, which won the national title, beating a powerhouse Oregon team 42-20. They also ended with a 14-1 record, only losing to one of the best teams in the country. They were also littered with NFL talent like J.T. Barrett and Terry McLaurin. Still, Ohio State 2024 had some of the biggest NFL stars on its roster, including Emeka Egbuka, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Treveon Henderson, and Quinshon Judkins. They also have current college stars Caleb Downs and Jeremiah Smith, who had a big impact on the team last season but are only sophomores in college.
With this said, you would assume most people think that this would be the best team in Ohio State history, but people argue it isn’t due to their loss to a rebuilding and, quite frankly, a terrible Michigan team. To me, this does not make them a bad team at all because it is the biggest college football rivalry in all of college football. Meaning that anything can happen, no matter how big the skill gap is between the two teams in rivalry games like this. On the other hand, the 2014 Ohio State team lost to an out-of-conference team that the program had no rivalry with, which means the team was just better than them. With all that information, we can clearly see that the 2024 team is better than the 2014 team, but I haven’t talked about coaches yet. Ryan Day, the current head coach at Ohio State, has a .882 win percentage or 88.2% which is the greatest win percentage of all time in College football history. This is evident in his coaching, as since he took over Ohio State, they have consistently remained in the top 12 rankings and are usually in the top 3. With this being said, they also have one of the best receiver coaches in the game. Brian Hartline, the current receivers coach, has created literally the best receivers college football has seen between Emeka Egbuka, Marvin Harrison Jr, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jeremiah Smith, and Carnell Tate, all of whom are either already in the NFL or could easily be starters once they are drafted. In 2014, Ohio State did not have nearly as strong a receiver room as in 2024, and overall, the whole team has more talent in 2024. Another reason why the 2024 team is so good is its defense. This 2024 defense averaged only 16 points a game, which is astounding considering the teams they played and the conference they are in. With star players like Sonny Styles and Caleb Downs, their defense struck fear into other teams.
As someone who is a die-hard Ohio State fan, I hope other fans and the program appreciate my opinion. The 2024 Ohio State football team is the best Ohio State football team there has ever been. I also hope that the players on that team can get even more recognition for how good they were and for their futures in the NFL.

Sincerely,
Holden Irby is, long-time Ohio State football fan and football player.

Former Ohio State catcher Dillon Dingler was the best defensive catcher in the American League for the 2025 MLB season.
He officially received that honor on Sunday night when he was awarded the AL Gold Glove for his position.

Dingler, who played for Ohio State from 2018-20, wins the Gold Glove after his first full season as the Detroit Tigers’ catcher. He helped lead the Tigers to the divisional round of this year’s MLB playoffs, adding to his defensive prowess with a home run in the Tigers’ series-deciding Game 3 win over the Cleveland Guardians – the team he grew up rooting for – in the Wild Card round.
He’s the first Tiger to win a Gold Glove since 2016.

Is This The Best OSU Team Ever?

Obviously it's is a little early to ask this question, but this team is just so well rounded.

This team has the 2 best Wrs in the sport, the best QB, the 2 best defenseive players ( Downs and Reese), and the best coaching. Its hard to find a weak spot anywhere on the roster. Maybe punter, but he never gets a chance anyways.

Is this the best OSU team of all time? If not, then which team was better?
