Anybody here understand the IRS?

I got an unexpected check in the mail today from the Dept of the Treasury. In an area near the bottom is what appears to be an explanation of what it is. It says:

(first 4 char of my last name) Austin 12/2019 Tax Refund 30
Int $ 52.56

Should I assume they have made an adjustment to my 2019 return and I will get an explanation at some point? Based on past interactions with the IRS, I know it is useless to call without having the name of the agent I need to talk with. I looked back at my return from that year and I wrote a significant check. This represents about 2/3 of that amount.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The currently projected #1 seed Buckeyes travel to central PA to face the Nittany Lions, whose home loss to Nebraska today dropped them to 4-9 in the B1G and 7-10 overall.

Some keys are to keep Harrar off the offensive glass, guard Jones and Dread at the 3-point line, and not have the guy Wheeler’s guarding bring the ball up the court. And don’t let Brockington go to his left.

Iowa State gives HC Matt Campbell 8-year extension

Iowa State has given Matt Campbell an eight-year extension, keeping the fifth-year head coach in Ames, Iowa, until 2028.

Further, the school vowed to provide Campbell $3 million in salary enhancements for his coaching staff over the next three years.

"Coach Campbell has always put investments in his student-athletes and football staff before his own personal gains," ISU director of athletics Jamie Pollard said in a statement. "That is the essence of servant leadership and is what makes Coach Campbell so successful."

Contract terms were not disclosed. Campbell earned an average of $3.5 million annually on his previous deal, which ran through 2025.

Hoosiers visit Columbus this Saturday.

They won a close game at home against Iowa on Sunday, and they visit NW’ern tomorrow (Wed), which is on BTN at 5:30 ET.

Trayce Jackson-Davis is a tough matchup inside, and forward Race Thompson has played well lately. He’s the son of Darrell Thompson, who had three 1000-yard rushing seasons for Minny and played a few years at Green Bay.
