I was at the game. I led my section in a "Lawrence Phillips Cheer" U-hem. "HIT HER AGAIN.... HIT HER AGAIN... HARDER HARDER!!"

I watched that 95 game at the home of some friends, both Florida grads. It was pretty congenial during the first quarter, with both couples bantering back and forth. By halftime I was lamely saying things like, "Well.... you guys could come back....." Felt pretty bad for them by the end of the game.

I agree. I may be being naive, but I still have a hard time believing JT was just this Kiffin type rouge doing whatever the fuck he wanted. It just doesn't vibe with everything else I've seen and heard him do. But that's just me. I certainly don't begrudge any of the pessemists their opinions, yet some feel like they have to basically call anyone that is hoping for something positive a moron. Eh, this is why stuff like this sucks so bad, it usually divides the fanbase. Sorry for the rant on your page. :lol:

uh - you beat us (Spurrier and UF) in 95. Spurrier refused to leave a blocking back in for pass protection - would not go to the shotgun - and Danny W. spent the day on his back. The very next year Spurrier hired Bob Stoops as our DC, and Spurrier finally went to the shotgun in the Sugar Bowl versus FSU - fearing another Nebraska type destruction of our passing game - and we went on to shred them, scoring 52 points in our first Bowl Alliance National Championship

Thanks for the reply, I attend Mizzou if you're wondering. But I could care less about their athletics, hell I wanted you all to curb stomp Mizzou after the Oklahoma game last year. I don't know why the comment about the j-school irked me either.

Nebraska has a fine J School. Missouri's is typically ranked in the top five. Nebraska's is typically ranked top five/top ten. They may be "better" than us, but not by much.

Not so bad. Even my idiot self did not get too riled. :biggrin: Mike and he were saying about the same stuff to each other. I just think he is a young guy emotional from his time serving. I'd let him slide with a warning...which is reason 4,539 why I'm not a mod :lol:
