Ohio State vs. Bucknell, Saturday, Dec. 15 @ 12PM, BTN

I mean, it was a "W", so that's nice.

My preseason thoughts remain unchanged. Overall, not a particularly talented team. They'll likely lose a couple they shouldn't, win a couple they shouldn't and probably finish 4th-6th in the conference.

Talent infusion coming next season.
Sounds about right. The BiG is really deep this year though so the boys shouldnt be negative if they end this way to be honest. They'll make the tourney if this is the case so I'd be happy about that. I am silently hoping though by game 20 they stop the unforced errors and mental mistakes and figure how to channel their energy for at least 32-34 minutes per game. 40 is unrealistic.

There are some guys on this team that can make some serious noise so it's a lot of fun watching them grow even with the issues they currently have. Holtman, I say again, is freaking magic.

5 Reasons UW wins the Rose Bowel

Hi Buckeye fans!

First of all, welcome to the Rose Bowl. Always fun to play a program like OSU. We are on a roll and I think we'll catch OSU at just the right time since you don't have a coach. If you guys want any tips about the Rose Bowl let a Dawg fan know and we'll show you around.

Here is why we win the RB.

1. Jack "Cobra" Browning - the best white player on the field, enough said on that. With four years of high school and over three years of college under his belt, he will do everything possible to win the game.

2. Offensive Line. We average a weight of 332 across the line, and they are ready to dominate the line of scrimmage. MacGeary, Tray Adams, Center, Ossai, Harris. These boys have an attitude and are ready to rumble!!!

3. Lake. A new defensive scheme and a new attitude. Everyone is speaking out about the difference between our game plan on defense vs Utah and our game planning since then. You will see a much improved defense on 1/1/19.

4. Speed, speed, speed. this is the fastest team Washington has had this century, maybe since 1991! John Ross XIV, Charlie McClutchins, Jake Kaho, Savell Ahmed, Myles Gaskin, Louis Rankin. The newbies will be inexperienced but we bring a new dimension that the program has not had in years, speed.

5. Time of possession. I think we can win the time of possession battle in this one. the more we can control the ball and keep our defense off the field, the greater chance we’ll have to win.

I think UW wins this one rather easily, say… 34-17???

Hey, I didn't know that Karan Higdon had a pseudonym! Great locker room material though. BTW, it's spelled "Jake", right? :sneaky: :oh:

2002 Nat Champs compared to 2014 Nat Champs

It really is amazing to look back at that playoff run, see the mistakes and holes they dug themselves in the first halves, and realize how dominant they were to overcome them.

Against Bama; 2 redzone possessions starting on the ~2 yard line resulting in FGs, an INT giving Bama the ball on the 15 resulting in Bama going up 21-6. There's probably more, but I remember thinking the game was over at 21-6, and then at halftime looking at the stats and thinking about some of the plays and realizing OSU was actually dominating them down by 1 point. Only thing keeping that from being a 3 score game entering the 4th was the excellent punter Bama had.

Against Oregon; OSU turned the ball over 4 times vs 1 by Oregon (literally the last play of the game). They put up 538 yards of offense, won TOP by 15 minutes, and won the game by 22 points. This one was against a worse team, but even more impressive. A blowout with one hand tied behind your back.

The opener in 2015 was almost a carbon copy of these as well. Almost 600 yards of offense, numerous turnovers and mistakes (Campbell dropping a ~40 yard TD) leading to 'only' winning by 22 instead of 35. I honestly thought 2015 was going to be a repeat of the last two games of 2015 until reality hit.

He was a "tall drink of water" wasn't he? Mushmouth really had a boy-crush on that kid.

I do remember being mildly frustrated during the early stretch of the game and when it got to 21-6 thinking how redonk the score was because it wasn't a reflection of what I was seeing on the field... aside from the stupid mistakes. I never felt like that game was going to be a loss at any point. While Miami may have been a game for the ages and all... there was something more gratifying about the Bama game. Not sure why given the expectation for Miami to boatrace us... and the absolutely arrogant pricks they were... so that should have been very gratifying in the end... but if I were to pick one game to watch and enjoy again? Bama game... hands down.

Players coming back for the 2019 season

Depends on how he tests in the Underwear Olympics.

And tbh, Fuller would be the only guy on the list I would miss from on field instance, the rest of the guys are at positions that we’ve recruited very well, to where we won’t completely miss them
To say you won’t miss KJ is insane and I don’t care how deep you think the room is. He was MONEY this year. The guy just had so many big plays.
