Recap of game from Eleven Warriors

A 3-pointer from Purdue Fort Wayne's Marcus DeBerry pulled Ohio State within two points just four minutes into the game, and then the Buckeyes began to pull away.

With a 16-0 run early in the first half, Ohio State got out to a double-digit lead within less than 10 minutes and poured it on. The advantage stretched out to 20 points late in the first half, reached 30 less than 10 minutes into the second half and eventually got to 40 before the game ended with the Buckeyes winning, 85-46, on Friday at the Schottenstein Center.

Five Buckeyes scored in double figures. They shot 53.4 percent from the field, while the Mastodons hit 31.5 percent of their shots.

Kaleb Wesson led the team with a season-best 15 points. He made 3-of-7 3-points and also grabbed seven rebounds. DJ Carton hit 5-of-17 shots, accumulating 13 points. CJ Walker scored a season-high 11 points and tossed three assists.

The Buckeyes scored 31 points off of 19 forced turnovers, while Purdue Fort Wayne managed just three points from nine Ohio State turnovers.

Coming off the bench to end the game, Justin Ahrens hit all three 3-point attempts to finish with nine points. Due to the blowout, every healthy and eligible player got at least five minutes. The Buckeyes got 40 points from the bench.

Andre Wesson came off the bench for the second game in a row since returning from an eye injury that he suffered in the season opener. He had four points and three rebounds in 16 minutes.
  • Even though Ohio State had Andre Wesson at its disposal, Chris Holtmann went with the same starting lineup he used in the prior three games: CJ Walker, Luther Muhammad, Duane Washington Jr., Kyle Young and Kaleb Wesson.
  • Ohio State commit Meechie Johnson was in attendance for the game.

It's essentially all of the veggies and beans in a broth seasoned to your liking. It's never let me down if I needed to fix chili quickly and didn't have time to break out the slow cooker.

That's the only store bought variation of chili I've had.

Man, Georgia could seriously control the clock with its rushing attack. That isn’t just concerning, it’s outright bad. UGA might just be able to contain Burrow and eclaire enough to pull that sucker off.

It was not always the prettiest game, but the end result is all that matters.

Ohio State's 56-21 victory over Rutgers has secured the Buckeyes' 14th double-digit win season in the last 15 years. The victory was headlined by a couple of firsts, including Justin Fields' first career game of over 300 passing yards and Chris Olave's first career game of over 100 receiving yards.

When Justin Fields throws for a career-high 305 yards, the receivers are going to put up some gaudy numbers. Binjimen Victor and Chris Olave were the main beneficiaries of Fields' big day, combining for 207 yards, nine catches, two touchdowns, and one fantastic snag.

Victor earned 68 yards, two touchdowns, and a season-high five catches. Olave, on the other hand, recorded 139 yards and four catches. The sophomore's 139-yard performance was the most of any Buckeye this season and his yards per catch average was the third-best mark of any Ohio State receiver this year.

On the season, Olave is up to 593 yards, 37 receptions, and nine touchdowns while his counterpart has 459 yards, 27 receptions, and six touchdowns.

From the purely in-game perspective, Chase Young's absence against Maryland was unnoticeable. The Rushmen recorded a season-high seven sacks and made the Terrapin offensive line look more like a turnstile.

Against Rutgers, and I can not believe I am saying this, the Buckeyes missed Young. Ohio State had just one sack and one hurry, both of which were season-lows for the talented defense. Davon Hamilton recorded the team's only sack.

The Scarlet Knights scored 21 points on the local team, with two of their touchdowns coming off of turnovers. Rutgers is now tied for the most points scored against the Buckeyes this year.

Seattle Police captain arrested in own department’s prostitution sting

A Seattle police captain is accused of sexual exploitation after he was arrested in an undercover operation by his own department.

"Seattle Police arrested a 53-year-old SPD employee last night in an undercover Vice operation in North Seattle," said a Seattle Police Department spokesperson. "The employee was booked into King County Jail with a request for misdemeanor charges, and the information was forwarded to the Office of Police Accountability."

Randal Woolery, 53, was booked into the King County Jail shortly after midnight Thursday and was released less than half an hour later, according to the jail roster.

Sources told KIRO that Woolery offered the undercover officer, who was posing as a prostitute, $40.
