B1G Championship Game

2021 Edition:

Ohio State Fans Have Reserved 37 Percent Of Big Ten Championship Game Tickets On SI Tix
OCT 14, 2021
The Buckeyes are looking to win their fifth straight conference title this fall.

With games against No. 7 Penn State, No. 10 Michigan State and at No. 8 Michigan remaining, the back half of sixth-ranked Ohio State’s schedule will ultimately determine if the Buckeyes will reach the Big Ten Championship Game for the fifth straight season.

That difficult path hasn’t stopped fans from reserving tickets to the conference title game, though, as SI Tix is reporting that 37 percent of tickets have been reserved by the Scarlet and Gray faithful.

That’s by far the most from any Big Ten East Division program, with the Nittany Lions at 14 percent and the Spartans at seven percent of tickets reserved for the game, which takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Dec. 4.

Ohio State: 37%
Ped State: 14%
Sparty: 7%

Gee, what B1G East school that is currently undefeated is missing from that list? You have to give their fans credit on realizing that their team still SUCKS and won't be playing in Indianapolis (yet again) this year......

Jaylon Smith (LB Green Bay Packers)

Green Bay Packers reach agreement with former Dallas Cowboys LB Jaylon Smith on 1-year deal

The Green Bay Packers didn't land former All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore but may have found help for their defense after all in former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith.

Smith reached an agreement Thursday morning on a one-year deal, his agent, Doug Hendrickson of Wasserman, told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The move came less than 24 hours after news broke that the Packers were a potential suitor for Gilmore shortly before he was traded from the New England Patriots to the Carolina Panthers for a 2023 sixth-round draft pick. But the Packers did not have enough salary-cap space to acquire Gilmore in a trade because they would have to inherit the remaining $5.8 million of his base salary on this year's salary cap. The Packers have only about $6.5 million in cap space and still need room for the in-season moves that injuries might necessitate.

Smith, however, fits under the cap because the Cowboys are on the hook for the entirety of his $7.2 million base salary this season as a result of veteran termination pay rules.
