I don't 100% agree (I think he does end up an All-American his senior year, and I think he's a first, but maybe not that high), but your optimism is really refreshing, Di Hard. It's nice to know that I'm not crazy.

Why is it so outrageous to think that Zwick could make an All-Big Ten team this year? Last time I checked, there's five returning QBs in the conference, and three of those play for Northwestern, Indiana, and Illinois. Everyone else (just about) is in the same boat as JZ.

If you say that Orton and Mills are givens to be selected above Zwick (Mills is not, but lets say that he is), then you have Beutjer (Ill), LoVecchio (Indy), Stocco (Whisky), Basanez (NW), Tate (Iowa), Gutierrez (scUM), Dowdell (MSU), and Cupito (Minny).

Look at the weapons and the team Zwick has around him. Other than Guitierrez, no one on that list has close to that, and most of 'em are run-first teams. I think he'd be a favorite to make the 3rd team or honorable mention.

im sorry....but i really....really...really liked what i saw from zwick against cincy....

he did a number of things krenzel couldnt....

-he read the d and threw on time to a receiver
-he didnt get hit
-he gave the receivers a chance to make a play after the catch..

and this was his first start....i think the buckeyes have a real star in zwick...

nation......thanks for the clarification...i didnt mean he will be number one overall....who knows what need that team will have...i mean he will be a top ten draft choice and probably the first qb taken...

i really, really like this kid.....and i didnt have an opinion one way or the other until this past week...

Zwick looked really poised in the pocket. There were times when it closed, and he stood in there and delivered. Like Di said, he delived on time. Bam Childress made Zwick look pretty good, Roy Hall did not. I think for a first start, JZ did all we could or should ask of him. I'm not ready to say all big ten, but this guy is a very good QB. One of his picks was on a tip, if memory serves.... Can't really blame him for that. Sure, he could have gotten the ball down, but sometimes those tipped balls go incomplete, sometimes they don't (Salley, I think, missed an INT of this veriety.. it may have been Whitner... hell, I don't know who it was)

I didn't like the fumbles, obviously. Does he have small hands? I wonder cause he skied a couple balls - if it was just a slick ball and sweat, I'd have guessed Guigidologhoasdih;er rihf;iosdf;sdf ; would have had trouble as well.
