COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Buckeye fans are outraged Tuesday by an unprovoked attack caught on tape.
Several Ohio State fan was walking down the streets of the Penn State campus when they got pelted with a beer bottle, and taunted by hundreds of students, NBC 4 Amy Basista reported.
The video was found on you-tube. Several Ohio State fans were walking through a party minding their own business when suddenly they seemed to have been attacked. In the video you can hear people yelling obscenities at them and then see someone throw a beer bottle at the Ohio State fans.
NBC 4 called Penn State and this was the response.
"It saddens us that anyone purporting to be a Penn State fan would act this way towards visiting fans. This does not represent Penn State."
It is not clear if everyone involved with the video are Penn State students. The university police are investigating, but so far, have not been able to identify exactly where this happened or who was involved. If ID as Penn State students, they could face disciplinary action.

Days after Penn State's football loss to Ohio State, a YouTube video surfaced featuring several men throwing beer cans and yelling obscenities at two Buckeyes fans.
The rear of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, 417 E. Fairmount Ave., is seen in the video. The fraternity's president, Brendan Wilson (junior-management), said he had no comment when reached by phone last night.
The YouTube account name of the user who uploaded the video was "crazysacc," which is also the AOL Instant Messenger screen name of Pi Kappa Alpha Vice President Gaetano Sacco (junior-film).
Sacco was reached by cell phone but had no comment.
By last night, all of the videos posted on YouTube by "crazysacc" had been removed, and the account was canceled.
The State College Police Department is investigating the case, but Sgt. Keith Robb, the officer investigating the case, could not be reached for comment.
In the video, two men with red Ohio State jerseys are seen walking
through an alley that passes behind Pi Kappa Alpha. One man became the target of several open beverages thrown from the crowd, but as he walked farther away, one man in a Penn State T-shirt pursued him and continued the attack, encouraged by a chant of "F--- Ohio" before returning to a congratulatory crowd.
A voice in the video can be heard yelling "pike" -- a nickname for the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
"You are the man," said a male voice off-camera. "This dude's from Pittsburgh. He doesn't even need to do it, but he does it."
Tom Poole, associate to the president for administration, said although the university had released no statement, he had responded to e-mails regarding the issue.
"I don't know what can be done about it," Poole said. "People act like fools."
He said Penn State President Graham Spanier's office had received "an awful lot of mail."
This is a "terrible impression to give the world about Penn Staters," he added.
Spanier said last night he had no information concerning the incident and had not seen the video.
Interfraternity Council President Grant Miller (senior-English) also could not give additional information, but said he believes no Penn State student meant to disrespect any Ohio State student.
Lisa Powers, director of public information, said comments had been made to Columbus, Ohio news stations as well as local news.
Powers said she was "disappointed and saddened" by these students' actions that "could give all Penn Staters a bad name."

Penn State will be paying for that for years. :tongue2: I am sure that all PS alums are saddened by this even though as in all Colleges this madness portraits only a small portion of the student body. I thought the disrespect line was hillarious.

Most colleges don't have students stupid enough to post video of the incident on one of the worlds most popular websites. That is epic stupidity.

Man somebody's got to do something about this white-on-white violence. Kids are pelting each other with beer just because someone made a wrong turn and stepped on someone else's turf while wearing the wrong color. Spilling beer man! WTF?!?!

Seriously, props to the Mo-C dude for walking so slow. He didn't exactly run off, but he didn't fight back... not easy to do. A different set of OSU fans and that could have gotten real ugly.

News in brief

19-year-old hit by car on Beaver Ave.
A student who was trying to cross Beaver Avenue in front of Canyon Pizza was struck by a car late Saturday night, police said.
Gaetano Sacco, 19, allegedly darted into the street from Canyon Pizza, 260 E. Beaver Ave., and ran toward Penn Tower, 255 E. Beaver Ave. According to an accident report, he was struck by a car, fell to the ground and cut his chin. He was treated by EMS on the scene and refused to go to Mount Nittany Medical Center.
A witness said there was no way the driver, 18-year-old Penn State student Daniel Lecouvre, could have avoided hitting Sacco.
This was the second pedestrian accident of the weekend where a student darted in front of a car and suffered an injury. On Friday, a car struck a 21-year-old student as she tried to cross North Atherton Street. She went to the hospital with a hip injury.
According to a police report, in both incidents, the student pedestrians were intoxicated.
