Before anyone gets up on the high hobby horse, I?ve seen this kind of stuff go on at every single one of those places. Look, if you are in the opposing teams colors and walk up to a sea of white (or black, purple, red, orange, etc.) dressed fans at a Pike house kegger, you?re going to get abuse. Unless, possibly, you can establish yourself as a Pi Kappa Alpha and behave yourself.

They were Pi Kappa Alpha from OSU and apparently partied there the night before. So much for brotherhood.

In addition, the two Ohio State fans who are shown in the video have been identified as members of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Ohio State. It is reported that they attended a party Friday evening at the Penn State chapter house, but upon arriving on Saturday were not welcome.

A man seen in a Youtube.com video throwing beer cans at an Ohio State student during a tailgate party has been identified by police as a University of Pittsburgh student, and the fraternity that hosted the party will be cited in connection with the “melee,” police said.

A summary citation of disorderly conduct will be issued to Pi Kappa Alpha for hosting the party.
“It was invitation only, but we feel that based on the investigation, the majority (of attendants) were Pi-ka members involved in this melee,” Robb said.
The victim suffered some injuries, but their extent has not yet been determined, Robb said.
If the injuries are significant, the Pitt student could face a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. If not, a summary citation of disorderly conduct and harassment is likely, Robb said.

Reading that action is being taken and the perpetrators are being held accountable so far is very comforting for me. I felt hopeless watching the video and enraged. I was impressed that Penn State is working with the Univ of Pitt to deal with the guy from pittsburgh. I just hope the victims press charges.

Having walked around near the Varsity Club and up Lane Avenue to Iuka before and after games I'd be hard pressed to say that what you saw on U-Tube is not what happens on Game Day in Columbus, Just reverse the colors and the insults.

That is an absolute truth - no matter that ND fans can be arrogant and delusional boosters for their squad, the tailgate atmosphere at their stadium is beyond civil - it is open and generous.

As I mentioned earlier, I was and still am, interested at the reaction from the Pike house at OSU. Now that it is known that the OSU fans that were treated so badly by Pike, were members of Pike, I am even more interested in what the fraternity will do about this situation. I was under the impression that house affiliation was more important than school affiliation.
