I worked for the Jet Express (Jet-engine catamaran ferryboats from Port Clinton to Put-In-Bay.)
that's funny..i always get that Jet Express song from the commercial stuck in my head..."Jet Express Jet Express Todaaaaay"..

anyway, first job was doing misc random yardwork around the block from literally a few dollars. then was a paperboy..that sucked ....so i learned to shoplift...after i got in big trouble shoplifting i started caddying at a local country club....the most i'd make in a loong hot 8 hr day was $30-40. then i worked up at an auto leasing place in toledo doing misc clean-up and car pick-up and delivery and stuff...that was ok...made like $6 an hour..then said f this and started selling bags of shwag...started making real money the easy way....did that thru college making a killing...and now i'm a corporate slave...

oh i forgot about two of my jobs...when i was a young kid...like ten years old..i got a line on an awesome job working saturdays at a baseball card store opening up new packs of bball cards looking for high value cards for them to sell. all the gum you could chew and a case of cards...pretty good!

and my freshman year at OSU during the summer i actually worked at that kroger on 6th and high...what a horrible job! bad pay..super boring..ghetto ass people coming in there, not that it was any better when some hot ass chick would come in and you'd feel like a total douchebag in your krogerwear....i used to get sooo stoned in the parking lot..lol....that job lasted for about a month tops....

I was a "chef" at the waffle house when I turned 16. I absoulutely hated that job and I still try to stay away from there at all costs. Except on Christmas day when they are the only place open to get food from after drinking all day :)

my parents had friends that owned a "sporting clays" course (similar to skeet, only you go around to 10-15 different stations and shoot hunting simulated situations-very fun stuff) and i was a trap boy (walked around the 2.5 mile course preparing the traps)

I taught swimming lessons at the local public pool and painted gas meters for Cumberland Gas in Mt. Vernon. Nothing like sniffing natural gas and paint chips all day!
Natural Gas is actually odorless. They put that smell in it to detect gas leaks.

I never knew that until a few years ago until my buddy who is a Nautal Gas driller in Oklahoma told me.

Well-- Your stinky ass put he odor in the methane in that example... because by itself is colorless and odorless....and it is also the primary component of natural gas... and since the other hydrocarbons in Natural gas... propane and butane... for example... are in small amounts and don't smell like much either... they put that sulphury smelling stuff in there for safety. At least they have the good sense not to put Thump's ass smell in it.

After working that job, I'm extra sensitive to the smell. When I worked on OSU's West Campus a few years ago, I would smell natural gas every day.
I know exactly how you feel about being sensitive to the smell. I've worked around gas lines since I was 18. I used to locate underground faciliteis for AEP, Time Warner, and Columbia Gas and everytime there was a gas line hit and I would have to go to the site I dreaded it because the smell of rotten eggs makes me nautious (sp?) :sick1:. I don't have to worry about smelling it anymore. I work behind a desk if you couldn't already tell
