J.T. Barrett injured Devin Gardner Ohio State Michigan 2014
Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner went on the field to check on injured Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett on Saturday.
Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner's gesture toward injured Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett on Saturday caused at least one Buckeye to say thank you.
Dave Claborn, the director of community relations and development at Ohio State's Marion campus, dropped a letter in the mail to Gardner on Monday, sending another copy to Michigan AD Jim Hackett. Gardner posted a copy of the letter on his Instragram account on Wednesday.

It was Michigan's senior quarterback and Ohio State's freshman quarterback after Barrett broke his right ankle. Gardner went on the field to speak with Barrett as he was flat on his back being treated by trainers. At one point, Gardner placed his hand on Barrett's face, a gesture captured by photographers.
"He just told me to stay up," Barrett said Wednesday, speaking with reporters for the first time since his injury. "Says he's praying for me. I've been talking to him the past couple days. He's a cool dude."
