I lowkey had some respect with the way he just collapsed in his final loss to us.
He left every fiber of his being on the field that day... and it wasn't enough.
That's why this is the rivalry that it is, regardless of records or streaks or hot twitlerati takes. It's not a rivalry dependent on whose been better lately. It's older and deeper than that. The day we forget it, is the day we become Wisconsin.

They have had their usual allotment of annoying dick bags up there this century but since none of them have contributed to a painful OSU loss in The Game, they don't really make my personal top 5.

I go back to guys like Woodson, Howard, Kolesar, Harbaugh (the QB, not the hilariously overmatched simpleton coach) and Rick fucking Leach.

Fuck Marcus Ray too.

Mark it six, I don't give a shit.

When the thread started in 2007, Bike Hart was a popular choice. But a few years later, he's remembered more as being a mouthy failure than a painful annoyance. He and Chad 'Mother-fucking joke' Henne were on a good team but ended up 0-4, so there's no real pain associated with them. Recent 'revenge tour' idiot Chase LLLLoseabitch will fall into the same category as Bike Hart. Annoyingly mouthy, but easily ridiculed for his record.

Biakabutuka is the opposite to me, I don't remember him being especially annoying, but all of those 313 yards are a painful memory from 1995.

The guys on your list are all-timers on any TTUN annoyance list because they have the combination of being arrogant pricks typical of TTUN, as well as being involved in some painful negative outcomes in The Game. The guys who left Ohio to play up there have an additional loathing factor. All of these factors allow Dan Dierdorf and Jim Mandich to also forever deserve mention on a list like this.

I have always transferred my hatred of Biatchabatika, and all 90’s wolverines, to John F Cooper.

It was always more about him than them.

Assuming about 2,500 guys have played football for TTUN (just an approximation), you are telling 99.96% of them to go fuck themselves. I think I'm going with 99.88%, since I'm not giving Gardner a pass. But I am giving a pass to Justin Boren, who made a great decision.

I'm also giving J.T. White and Howard Yerges a pass, they switched teams in the other direction, but that was because of World War II.

So besides those 3 guys, in my mind the rest of them, including Devin Gardner, can go fuck themselves.

I might be in the minority, but I never hated Hairlice. Yeah, he did the dumb spoon thing, but in the moment and situation they were in, I get it. He wasn't a regular trash talker (that I noticed), appeared very humble and seemed to genuinely enjoy playing the game. And even if he wasn't a particularly good QB, he was fun to watch. It helped that they were still losing most of the time despite his efforts.

Aside from the letter burning stunt, much like Hairlice, I never felt any real hate towards Gardner. Coming out to kneel beside a fallen JTB IV was sportsmanship at its finest. And he played a whale of a game against us in 2013, literally leaving it all on the field. He got the crap kicked out of him for 2 years behind terrible OLs and mostly played through a lot of pain. That Sparty game in 2013 was actually hard to watch...it was basically a QB snuff film. I honestly think if he ended up with us or any other program that wasn't an offensive dumpster fire, he may have ended up a pretty damn good QB. He showed flashes of his ability, most notably against us in 2013.

The rest of their QBs can eat my ass with a spoon.

Same. Biakabatuka was a product of John F'n Cooper. There's not many tsun players from that era (aside from Howard & Woodson [traitors]) that I genuinely hate. The turds of the post 2000 era, that talk trash and make proclamations despite two decades of abject futility are the worst. And, my goodness, there's a lot of 'em.

Chad Henne never bothered me. Going 0-4 against Ohio State makes it tough for me to hate him.
McCarthy is probably on my list.
Howard and Woodson - yeah, I can see that. But only because of what they did on the field. I don't give a toe what they did/said after they left. They can run their mouths and it doesn't hurt my feelings.
Maybe Tom Brady. I don't mind him so much, I just find it funny that the guy their coach BENCHED is this GOAT and they claim him as theirs. He's no more a result of *ichigan than Burrow is a result of Ohio State.
Again, I'm adding all who planned the brawl in 2013 and then followed through with it. And add all the brawls/fights that they start in their own tunnel. I hate to defend Sparty and Penn State, but the common denominator is *ichigan. YOU are the thugs.
