Indians lose to Minnesota. Again. Now 9-9 in the season series against the worst team in baseball.
The Tribe's potent offense manages just 7 hits and one run in 12 innings against the worst pitching staff in baseball.
Washed up Joe Mauer, who can't hit anybody else, comes through with the walk-off RBI in the bottom of the 12th.
While they probably will make the playoffs, it is going to be a very short run the way these guys cannot hit a baseball. They have a tremendous pitching staff but their lack of hitting is going to do them in against the better teams in baseball who have both pitching and hitting. There is not one guy in the Tribe lineup that I fear when he comes to the plate and the game is on the line.Lord Jeff while agree with every single point you have made, we have Kluber starting (and most likely Miller and Allen available) tomorrow . If we win, that is 2 out of 3 against the Twins (we win the season series too if that happens) . If for the the remainder of the season we win 2 out of every 3 we will finish 96-66 , that is certainly enough for home field in the first round and most likely enough to to finish ahead of Texas to have home field thought the entire playoffs . Something the Indians have never had throughout their history. Never had home field throughout the playoffs and perhaps more importantly have never have had home field in a World Series.
Still shittyIndians take two of three from the Twins, and increase their record to 83-59 (.585).
Tigers lose two of three to the Orioles, and fall to 76-66 (.535).
If the Indians split their remaining 20 games, they will finish 93-69.
The Tigers need to go 17-3 (.850) in their remaining games to finish 93-69.
The Magic Number is down to 14.
The fuck is wrong with you?It would take a pretty monumental collapse at this point for them to lose the division.....Still wouldnt put it beyond them to do it though

Also, you do not pitch to Mauer with the winning run in scoring position on a 3-2 count.
I'm trying to figure out where you are coming from this. If they can't hit a baseball, how are they second one runs scored in the American League (ahead of both Baltimore and Texas that have guys thay are more feared hitter)?
Indians have beaten top line pitchers like Fernandez and Verlander and beaten closers like Osuna and Rodney.
The Royals didn't have a guy over 22 home runs last season and won the World Series .
This group is no where near the lineups if the mid 90's, but there are no guarantees either. I remember in 1995 when we swept Boston in the ALDS , Vaughn (who was the MVP that year) and Conseco went 0 for 27. Anything can happen in the playoffs.
The bats are extremely cold right now.I'm trying to figure out where you are coming from this. If they can't hit a baseball, how are they second one runs scored in the American League?
