YOUR 2016 Cleveland Indians Thread (American League CHAMPS!)

Wow. The Tribe just got gifted 2 runs on a "passed ball/wild pitch" that bounced off of Chisenhalls bat after a breaking ball bounced short. It's not a reviewable play.

One of the oddest plays i've seen in awhile, it was pretty obviously a foul ball.....however the ump called time in middle of what was technically a live ball situation as called.....to argue with the Astros catcher

The Indians had not had a player hit 30 HR since Grady Sizemore in 2008 before this season, they now have 2 this year, Carlos Santana just hit his 30th.

2002 was the last time they had 2 30 HR hitters, Jim Thome and Ellis Burks

Jim Joyce not popular today.

Maybe not in Houston. Cleveland fans lining up to buy him a beer....

One hanging [Mark May]ty curve ball or whatever:frown:
That hanging curve not only cost Kluber the game, it also might have cost him the Cy Young Award.

There were two on, two out, 0-2 count on the Astros' #8 hitter. Kluber hangs the curve and it's a three-run bomb. Indians eventually lose 4-3.

Of course, you can't really look at things in a vacuum, but here are Kulber's stats as is, and what they would be if he'd retired Marwin Gonzalez:

With hanging curve: 15-9, 3.16 ERA
W/o hanging curve: 16-8, 3.02 ERA

Big difference when you're trying to prove that you're the best pitcher in the American League.

Now back to the Tribe's performance as a team....

During the 10-game home stand, the Indians went 8-2, and increased their overall record to 81-58 (.583).

Detroit also played well but still lost ground to the Indians. The Tigers' overall record is now 75-64 (.540).

If the Indians go 12-11 in their remaining games, they will finish 93-69 (.574).

The Tigers will need to go 18-5 (.783) in order to finish 93-69.

Not feeling too great about this Twins series with Salazar and Klevinger on the hill for 2 of the 3 games

Even though Salazar's last 2 starts havent been bad. But we will see I guess.
