It was funny to watch the games Thursday and Friday night and listen to Matt Underwood not refer to Lucroy by name. They would either call him the Texas catcher or talk about something else while he was at the plate. Just to show that the Indians announces are also shitty just like the team.

So the offense has turned back to what we originally thought they were. I guess at least detroit failed to capitalize by crapping out against the Angels.

Now they get the Twins, we know what that means.

Cheer up gang! So, they had a bad week? Didn't most of us peg this as a close to .500 team back in March? Well, except for a nice 14 game hot streak that's pretty much exactly what they are. 21-20 since the All-Star break, 13-14 in August. That hot streak, along with injuries and crappy play by the Tiggers and Royales, put the Tribe in first place. They've been in first place for the last 78 days.

Is their lead slipping away? Not really. On August 1 the Tiggers were in second place, 4 games behind Cleveland. Sound familiar?

There are some good reasons to be encouraged. The pen appears to have stabilized (ok, except for MacAllister), Perez no longer has a double digit batting average and Klubot is in Cy Young mode. The 25 man roster expands the end of this week and Tito will have more guys to use for match ups, something he does about as well as any manager in the game today.

So, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Twins starter enters with a ERA in the 5s. Hiving up a combined 15 runs in his last 2 starts. 3 hits no runs in 6 1/3

Score less going to the 8th.....pitching does ok and the offense reverts to shit.
