Well, since this seems to have become the de-facto World Series thread, here I am. Been a Cubs fan since grad school 26 years ago. I've suffered through the dreadful 90s, Bartman, the 08-09 choke artists followed by another half decade of [Mark May]. It may not be multi-generational old-school Chicago fandom, but it's legit.
