YOUR 2016 Cleveland Indians Thread (American League CHAMPS!)

I don't even fucking care... I'd give an osu NC championship to see these guys win the world series.

My 83 year old Grandma called me today to tell me that she loves all her grandchildren dearly; but if Cleveland gets two titles in one year, the good lord can call her home the next day and she'll be completely at peace with it.

I apologized about the Browns though.
Still, even fresh off a Cavs championship this would me so much to this city and this well deserving fanbase.

Oooooohhhh... fuck.

Call grandma back. Scream "still shitty" and hang up.

You can disguise your voice and use a burner phone but this is very important.

Got to go to Game 2 Sat. afternoon in Cleveland! Total blast! Our seats were near bullpens and I noticed that Ryan Merritt did not come out to pen during the game. Clevinger carried the pen's snack backpack before and after the game, a chore that should have been Merritt's.

Anybody seen/heard any news on Merritt?
All I know is that I do not want to see him starting Game 5, if Cory does not get the job done today, unless it is just for 1 inning and then they can go bullpen by committee again.

One thing that I do not understand is why Francona brings in a reliever to pitch to the last batter in an inning. Like he brings in Shaw, Miller, Allen to pitch to the last batter in an inning and then pitch to two batters the next inning. Not saying it is not working but just do not quite understand it.

Seeing the Cavs win made me cry but if the Indians find a way to win it all I'll be hysterical. I love the Indians just as much as our bucks.

I'm the opposite. I want the Indians to win, but they're nothing compared to the Buckeyes.
But I'm going to be glued to the radio or gametracker trying to follow along this afternoon before I can get home.

Francona seems to be very much into match-ups. I've watched MAYBE 10 games all year, and that includes the 6 post-season games. So take my guess for what it's worth. But he said last night after the game that he had Allen pitch in the 7th inning (for the first time all year, according to Mr Indians fan, here at work) because of the way the match-ups worked. And Miller came in to close because of the way it would make the match-ups work.

Of course, that theory goes out the door when you bring up the fact that one of those guys Miller faced last night was supposedly 5 for 14 against him, with 3 home runs. I think it was a strike out, though, so Francona looks pretty dang smart.

I think i'd rather see Merrit in game 5 than Clevinger, if it's necessary of course

Really small sample size of 11 innings but he had a 1.64 ERA in them and tossed 5 solid innings against KC in his only start.

Plus Toronto never seeing him before and having such a small sample to go off of could definitely work into our advantage
