You know for two teams from such a "slow" conference....

I've watched every game Hall has played in, and while he has given up some big plays he's also made some big plays. To write him off is incredibly foolish. First of all he's a rookie, very few rookie corners ever come into the league and dominate. Secondly he's on a horrible defense.

Thus, it's all the easier for him to "shine".

Troll? If anybody on these boards is a troll, it's you. If you've noticed anybody who doesn't agree with you, hate Michigan, and go down on Jim Tressel with every post needs to be silenced or ridiculed.

Thus far, you've contributed far less points of interest than you have unsubstantiated pontification. That, scUMmer, is the very basis of a troll.

Typical asshole Buckeye fan, if not for this being a Buckeye board you probably would've been banned by now. Any other message-board and the kind of posts and idiotic rhetoric that you throw out there would've gotten your ass banned a long time ago.

You should consider it a courtesy of the moderation staff that your tenure here has lasted this long. Much more of this junk, and you won't have to endure such people as us Buckeye fans.

Furthermore, you're a reprehensible contrast to the likes of Sniper26, WolverineTX, and HailToMichigan. You would do well to look them up and see how a Michigan can present a dissenting opinion without being a cock.

Sheesh, man. This board offers a great deal of substance, and in my experience you'll be treated well if you extend an iota of respect and understanding. You don't do us any favors as guests by gleefully pissing on their floor. Regardless of the fact that BKB vouched for you early on -- based on your contributions thus far, I think the leniency of the forum staff has rather clearly been demonstrated.

And like a typical troll, you've gone from rational debating to name-calling and the "if this were any other board" card.....

Seriously look around. BP has a moderator who is a USC fan. We have a prominent Gator fan and several contributing Wolverine fans here.

Along with that this site has attracted all sorts of casual fans and fans of different teams here that I haven't listed. LSU fans have come in and been largely respectful and respectible although there are always exceptions.

You do realize you are acting more like a Ntre Ame fan I could mention (King Rhabuf) than virtually every Michigan fan on this forum right???

The mods and admins here are great at allowing differing viewpoints even from our main Rival, but there is a line and BKB (and I'm sure others on that team) are telling you that you've crossed it.

Heck, read the RichRod thread. HtM, thanks to his credible posting history, was able to just about throw down over some things being hurled at RRod.

Oh, and where did I say that Leon will be one of the best within 3 years? Leon will never been in the upper-echelon or an elite corner. I did say he'll be one of the better corners in the NFL within 3 years, and if you can't get beyond your hatred of Michigan to see the kids potential and talent then that is just arrogance on your part. One of the better CB's in the league means that he'll be a viable starter for a team for many years. One of the best in the league means that he'll be a star and make many Pro Bowls. Leon is going to be one of the better ones, not one of the very best. Marlin on the other hand is quickly becoming one of the very best.

This will shock you, but contrary to belief, not every post on this board is favorable to Florida and the SEC. No...really! And while that is still unfathomable to me (), you don't find me calling these guys out in a personally insulting way, much less in such a pedestrian phrase "typical asshole buckeye fan." Why that post alone did not get you gone is beyond me. Maybe you are about to be Jeffcatted around a bit before discarding.

Tip. You won't see eye to eye on a rival's board - ain't gonna happen. Why your grey matter missed that gem of a concept I can't say. Suck it up a little, and then after you know these folks (if they let your sorry ass stay) you can joke around some. Stamping your little feet and insulting the entire fanbase on their board is an interesting strategy - in a sort of counter intuitive addled meth addict deductive way - but not the wisest choice if you ask me friend.

See ya in the Capital One Bowl.

Excellent use of the term "Jeffcatted"

Exactly. This is a Buckeye board for Buckeye fans. That doesn't mean you can't come in and talk up LSU or Florida or even (or maybe especially) Michigan, but have a reasoning behind it and not just blind homerism.

There is an "Ignore" function on this board ... use it with folks you can't get along with. There is also a much more permanent "ignore" function the staff has access to. Why don't you honor the gesture of BKB's voucher by figuring out a way to become a real member of this board ... before the staff decides to use our "ignore" feature.

Honestly, I don't always agree with some of the things said at BP. More often I don't agree with HOW things are said. The difference is that these folks have EARNED their stripes and credibility at BuckeyePlanet. We have shared interesting discussions and out right arguments over all manner of topic. In the end we accept these differences and put them behind us because we have a shared history. An understanding that our views come from deep passions ... not individual personality differences. When a stranger comes up and tells me I'm being an asshole, then lists the reasons, I ignore the whole exchange. When a friend or associate tells me I'm being an asshole and takes the time to discuss it with me ... I try and determine WHY I'm being an asshole ... and fix it.

Jax has earned his stripes many times over at BuckeyePlanet. We don't always agree with him or how he makes his points (as many don't agree with me), but we sure as hell respect him and value him. If we want to argue with each other, we have EARNED that right. You have not, nor will you at this current pace.

Why I need to explain this to you at all is a mystery to me. I AM doing it because BKB asked us to give you a chance. As with all of the above, that is something he has EARNED to right to do at BuckeyePlanet. It is something we honor because of his history at BP. Now maybe you could put aside your pride for just long enough to acknowledge that he climbed out on the limb for you and you have been the one methodically cutting the branch behind him.

Here's how it works. Buckeye fans get a lot of this:

Opposing fans get some of this:

ScUM fans and Domers get this:

Guys, no offense but if you go back to last years game with UF they clearly beat you with overall team speed. That being said I actually think you have a better team this year. Wells emergence is a big diference. LSU is going to be quicker, but I think OSU may be a bit stronger. By the way your coach is a class act. Good luck.

Maybe it's an unwillingness to face up to what happened last year, BUT I believe that the loss of Ginn on the opening play was bigger than anyone realized. Now there was no need for one corner and one safety to key on Ginn, now there was no need for the defensive ends to keep the reverse or pitch play in mind, and once the Bucks were down by two scores the two ends were turned loose. Oh, and did you notice how all those Florida speedsters were closing in on Teddy at the end of his run back?

You could really see the difference this year when OSU tried to go long to Robiskie or Hartline. Last year that was a big touchdown call. This year it was a 3 and 4 interceptions in a game (Purdue and Illinois) call. R & H could simply not get the seperation that Ginn could get.

I have no idea what happened on the defensive side of the ball. I just recall that our linebackers were out of position all night long, playing 15 to 25 yeards downfield. Now that may have been a tribute to the overall speed of Florida, or it may have been a dumb game plan.

Watch the two games with Texas, a team loaded with speed, Southern speed if you insist, and you will see that OSU was every bit as fast in both games.

LSU may out talent the Bucks this year, but it won't be because of overall team speed.

And while you're at it, please note that each game involving the top five Big Ten teams, OSU, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Penn State is an away game.

Don't really disagree, except to say that your guy had grabbed the back of Reggie Nelson's jersey/pads on the kick-off, so I think it better to say we'll never know if Reggie could have caught him, and if he hadn't have been held if he took a good line or not. Still mighta missed him. Those of us in Gator Nation think that there should have been a flag, but then again, every play has something going on that you could call.

Hell, in one sense, it damn sure woke us up. I think that the way we came back with the three quick scores after being punched in the mouth on that kickoff sort of put a little doubt in your minds, and that might have responsible for the uncharacteristic play calling the rest of the game, your abandoning the run too soon IMO and the 4th and two call. Weird game. I think that we played about a perfect game, as one thing seldom mentioned is that we did not have our normal bunch of drive killing penalties, which was a limiting factor in our scoring all last year. All in the past now.

Edit: what I meant is, at best, with no hold Reggie had a shot at making a diving tackle as Teddie ran by (going north-south, Reggie was trying to take an angle to the sideline to catch him) and get a leg/ankle trip or slow him down. Once Teddy got by - he was long gone.
