Carthage University says not until the NCAA sows the grounds of The Oval with salt....

...seems that Coach Hannibal being forced to resign was not the worst thing, in retrospect.

Or the University of Berlin -- they built a wall down the middle of the campus and put them on probation for 50 years.

So The Dispatch is ticked because they didn't get to sit in on the trustees meeting? Ha! It's about time the university pushed back for the local paper whoring themselves to gain some notoriety at the expense of the football program.
Screw 'em! I would cut off the Dispatch's access to all things OSU, completely.

Just thinking if BTN did a "Journey" on Ohio State football this Fall, that thing would be highly-rated (and ESPN would be tuned in too).

OSU would never agree (regardless if the network threw money at the school), but it would be fun to think of.

Schools have some editorial control over the basketball series, so who knows what would be edited out anyways.

That would be great, and with the right oversight, I think it would be great for OSU and a big upgrade for the network. The journey is a terrific program on a network filled with mediocre content.

Could you imagine the fits that some opposing schools, fans and pundits would throw? Right when they think Ohio State has been knocked down, here comes a nationally televised season-long infomercial for the football program showing them getting back on track or not skipping a beat at all.

One problem though - there are already going to be a ton of extra distractions this season. Would they really want to add another one?

It would be a risk for sure, but one that could pay huge dividends for the program and its effort to recover.

Or stumbling through a mediocre, shit sandwich of a season with an untested freshman quarterback and first year (lame duck?) head coach.

Not saying the negative is inevitable or even likely. Just saying be careful what you wish for. That season long chronicle of the program could turn into a cover your eyes fiasco.

Ohio either has sunshine/open meeting laws or it doesn't. I would assume that is the focus of the problem: what the law requires, not what the Dispatch wants or tOSU is willing to offer.

No, the focus is whether the content of the meeting discussion falls within those open meeting laws or not. Gee and Wexner said it doesn't, and the meeting has come and gone and isn't coming back, so again this appears to be the Dispatch trying to pour weak fuel onto smoldering coals.
