What are you guys talking about? He's just here to kill some time talking college football while waiting for his Dirk Nowitzki jersey to be shipped. :roll1:

Who here knows the 10 strongest players in college football? Raise your hands.

Oh, well ... there was an interesting comment to the story in the Sun-Sentinel placed by a former Auburn graduate student:

PARTIAL QUOTE:
While the nation wrings it hands over the fact that OSU played players that the Head Coach knew were ineligible, Auburn played the 2010 Heisman trophy winner without any shame or repercussions. The events that happened in Columbus are a direct reaction to the SEC Commissioner's push to keep Cam eligible. The dilemma facing Mike Slive was two BCS teams vs. one BSC team if Auburn isn't undefeated (Arkansas would have been bumped out of Sugar and Auburn would have taken that spot) and a loss of millions. Until the NCAA shuts Auburn's blatant cheating methods down, Indianapolis will struggle to control the rampant use of street agents/runners in college football.

Let's get a few things straight.

1) Michigan fans are welcome here. Many appreciate the interaction, many others just hate any outsiders. That's fine, as long as it doesn't take over threads.

2) Both sides need to shape up. Constantly antagonizing and baiting "intruders" just because they're outsiders gets really old, which is why I called out that post. I didn't call out the top-10 or 'interested in OSU' bickering because the topics themselves were ridiculous.

Likewise, folks need to show some respect and sensitivity for the board they're on. OSU is getting assaulted daily, stopping by in two threads to post an absurdly biased and regurgitated news story is obviously going to tick people off.

3) There's a big difference between posting the "top ten strongest players" (which is a trivial if useless topic) and this ridiculous excuse for a column.

4) If Buckeyes are getting under your skin, put them on ignore. We don't get paid to babysit. Likewise if UM fans are posting too much for your taste but its within BP guidelines (both specific and common sense), do the same.

Somebody clue me in. What is a UnionFutura?

Harbinger of doom, stealer of souls, seller of kittens, renter of "Ishtar", the great bambino, etc. etc.

Actually, just a well connected BPer who has been vocal about the fact that it's going to get a lot worse before it gets any better. Since he typically has the intel to back it up, we take his silence or commentary pretty seriously.

For those who stalk "active users viewing this thread", keep in mind that the new server widened the window for these things, so if I leave my computer for 1-2 hrs with this page open, it will show me in this thread, even though my last page view was hours ago.

The ignore feature doesn't work if the person in question gets quoted. You can still read their idiocy and be annoyed, you just can't respond to them directly. I guess that is a good thing in a way, but with lots of quoting, a blocked poster can still be incredibly obnoxious, believe me, I know.

It's not a perfect solution but it's also a last resort.

I've spent a lot of time on the Michigan boards and other than the past six months (obviously), I've enjoyed my interactions with them.
