The reason it happens is because somewhere along the way being "First" to a story trumped being "right" about what you're reporting. ESPiN wasn't "first," of course, but once someone runs a story every other outlet has to follow suit.

That reads very similarly to some government job listings I have seen.

There have been GS-7 jobs in the past (GS-7s make approximately 40K) that want at least 4 years of college behind high school and depending upon the promotion potential of the job, work on a PHD!!

I applied and they asked me what I would bring to the table and I said.... my first rule is no e mail for anyone in the athletic department...all communication will be done by pager and pay phone


I got an offer but I would like to live above the poverty line

Okay - don't shoot the messenger, guys, but - I sent this email to a guy I work with, and he said the following,

"Maybe the compliance person had nothing to do. It's not like someone is banging down their door to report....on....people....heh."
