Warren Central answers every Cathedral run
Not even McLaurin's 238 receiving yards can keep Warriors' explosive offense at bay

Warren Central senior running back Darius Lee took notice of Cathedral receiver Terry McLaurin’s explosive speed early.
“It gives me good motivation to do better and work as hard as he is,” Lee said.
. . .
The Irish (0-2) had taken a 14-7 lead on touchdown catches of 10 and 80 yards by McLaurin, who has committed to play football at Ohio State. McLaurin later had a 74-yard TD catch from Collin Barthel to narrow the lead to 28-21.

How Terry McLaurin earned his offer from Urban Meyer gives him confidence he won’t fade into pack once he arrives at Ohio State: Buckeyes recruiting
Terry McLaurin had to attend two instructional camps at Ohio State during the summer before earning a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes. McLaurin feels his determination to earn the offer is reason to believe he won't fade into the pack once he arrives at Ohio State. (Rivals.com)

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Maybe it was hyperbole, but Urban Meyer said something that still gets Terry McLaurin to this day.
“He told me I was one of the fastest players he has ever seen,” McLaurin said. “That means a lot from someone who has coached in the SEC and Florida, places that are known for having some of the fastest guys around.”
That comment came after McLaurin thought he proved he was the best receiver at Ohio State’s instructional camp June 9, a daylong workout he capped by winning the “Smokehouse race,” a sprint that identifies the fastest player in attendance.
But as McLaurin was ready to head home, secretly hoping he wouldn’t leave Columbus without a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes, he didn’t get the good news.
“They told me they wanted more, that they wanted me to come back and camp again,” McLaurin said in a recent phone interview with Cleveland.com. “It really took a lot for me to accept that and be willing to come back.”

Cathedral badly needed to find a way to get the football into senior receiver Terry McLaurin’s hands.
“(Tech defensive backs) were doubling on top of him and they were doing a nice job of covering him,” Irish football coach Rick Streiff said. “They were being physical with him, plus they were getting a pass rush.”
So the Irish coaches put McLaurin at running back. It did the trick as McLaurin, who has committed to Ohio State, rushed for 132 yards on 12 carries to help the Class 5A No. 3 Irish down the Titans 23-14 Friday night. While the game was played on the Tech High School field, it was Cathedral’s homecoming. Both teams are now 4-4.

Ohio State recruit Terry McLaurin’s 97-yard kickoff return with 8:36 left to play in the opening quarter answered a 3-yard run by Moeller senior running back Dean Meyer to tie the score at 7-7. But that’s the only points Cathedral could muster until early in the fourth quarter.
Its crazy that cathedral is 4-5 bur still ranked in the top 5 in IN. Must be a frustrating year for Terry because teams are keying solely on him
Yeah, last year they went 5-5 then went on to finish with a state championship. Pretty cool really, means you're never out of it.
