As for Mack Brown, I hope that Pryor and the Ohio State coaching staff heard that. And, I think this man exudes class. Texas and their fans have done nothing short of impress me.

Wow... that's the thing about PSU - unlike scUM where it's hate all around, I love Joe Pa (he's like your cool grandpa that sneaks you beer at family reunions). I respect their program. But their fans...

Matt Hayes sportwriter for "Sporting New Today" wrote an interesting column this morning regarding Terrell Pryor and something on the level of how he is being mis-handled by the coaching staff. I do not know how to bring this up for the "Buckeye Planet" to read. Maybe some of you guru's or moderators can do that. It's pretty interesting stuff.

Man, that is catchy. They couldn't shorten that up just a bit? Probably in 72 font and you basically have to hump them to read it. Its like those people with paragraphs on their bumper stickers. 2. The Pryor factor

I don't know about you, but something about Terrelle Pryor just doesn't feel right. It's starting to feel like, I don't know, Mo Clarett.
Look, I'm the first to say Pryor has been poorly coached and doesn't deserve nearly as much criticism as the whackos in Columbus are heaping on him. But last week, after Ohio State's beatdown of New Mexico State, we saw something that maybe opened a window into the Buckeyes' locker room.
Once Pryor was pulled from the rout, he went to the locker room, changed into civvies and watched the game from the sidelines. When asked after the game about Pryor in his street clothes and if he were hurt, OSU coach Jim Tressel said no. From this, we can deduce: Pryor still doesn't realize the enormity of his job. The quarterback is your leader, the player others look up to on and off the field. I don't care if he did get dinged at the end of the first half (apparently, he tweaked his hamstring). Come back out on the field fully dressed and support your teammates.
These are the little things that build team chemistry, that steel a team in times of adversity ? like, say, before a game at Penn State with the Big Ten title still within reach. Pryor has crazy talent, but the coddling by the staff (see: Clarett) ? instead of coaching him harder, pushing him harder, forcing him to see his leadership responsibilities ? will eventually be his undoing.

Come on man, you are reaching here. Name one time where New Mexico State looked like a threat. They had the worst offense in division 1 (or whatever they call it). If he continued to play Pryor and he got hurt (ala Beanie Wells) in meaningless playing time....what would everyone say about that?

I don't buy the whole "giving Pryor the special treatment" crap. We only see a little piece of what is going on with the team. I would think that Tressel, in his many years of being a head coach, would identify the possible problems and avoid any possible issues. You just cannot please some people.

As I have said before, I am marveled by the number of head coaches that frequent this website.

As for Glen Mason, there is a reason why Tressel is the head coach at Ohio State and Mason is calling games for the Big Ten Network. Perhaps it's a good thing that Mason does not agree with Tressel.

The kid's got great hands and we all know he's fast enough and has the hieght for the position.

I think it would be a good move for everyone.
