WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Yeah the one thing I never saw with Pryor that I expected with all the hype about his speed was a burst. He seems to have glide like Ginn does. The scary thing is I'm not sure I've ever seen Pryor reach his top speed.

I think his height has something to do with that. Small, fast guys have to move those legs a hell of a lot faster. Pryor runs a lot like Vince Y, both are tall.........so the comparison is natural. He is super deceptive. I cannot wait to see what his maturation will bring this season.

I go out and look at other Ohio State boards from time to time (BP is by far the best of the best, IMO), but I actually get a good laugh now and again from the Cleveland.com board. Used to post there, but lately it has been taken over by a couple of LSU homers always beating their chest with SEC and such.

Now they are saying that their QB Johnson is already better than Pryor based on 3 games played last year (I believe he came in vs Ole Miss, but started vs ARK and GT in the bowl game). :slappy::slappy::slappy:

They must have meth in those corn dogs nowadays.

No. 56: Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor

THE PARTICULARS: 6-6/235, Soph.; Jeannette (Pa.) High

THE BUZZ: Last season, Pryor flashed glimpses of why many are calling him ?the next Vince Young? en route to earning Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors. Pryor has a long, loping gait that gobbles up yards. The QB rushed for 631 yards and six scores last season. He also threw for 1,311 yards, with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. But to become one of the nation?s top quarterbacks, Pryor must hone his downfield accuracy and quicken his release.

A CBS writer provides some more fuel for Terrelle's personal fire.

He declares that TP and EA are both overrated.

Rating, while waiting through college football's hardest par

By Brian Stubits

First, a caveat: a quick refresher on the definition of overrated. Saying something is overrated doesn't mean something isn't good. For example: the second-best team in the country can be overrated if it's declared to be the best team in nation. Capiche?
...

Overrated -- Terrelle Pryor, Ohio State: I can hear Buckeyes fans everywhere in an uproar, but I'm in the show-me camp with Pryor. My eyes scan stories with him appearing on Heisman watch lists for the coming season. I put on my glasses. He's still there. That's where I get overrated. He still has to prove he can do an essential part of quarterbacking -- pass effectively. In his first season he only attempted more than 20 passes in one game. Not to mention, I'm still having a hard time ignoring back-to-back 5 for 13 games against Michigan and Texas to close out his freshman campaign. Can he be as great as the hype? Surely, but right now I don't see how people get their expectations based off his college track record.

...

Overrated -- Erin Andrews: Blasphemy, you say? Perhaps. Don't get me wrong, I think she's fantastic at what she does, but we all know why she's really so popular: she's easy on the eyes. I'm not saying she isn't gorgeous, but I must be missing what most college football fans are seeing out there as they pegged her the Queen of Saturdays. Heck, any day. People talk about her as the best-looking woman this side of Jessica Biel. I respectfully dissent.

Cont'd ...

Bulletin board material is not something you want to provide Terrelle. Regardless of his QB skills, at the very least, he's going to do his best to get a "W" for his team; he's proved this before. It truly seems that he puts whatever team he is a part of first. This guy is a competitor, with the talent and drive to go with it. That recipe is contagious in team sports. We'll be a tough out for any game this year; we were last year, except the LA fiasco.....and I think he is closer to 240.:osu:
